Kamp K9 on Nature Friday

Yes, there was a birthday and the snow was pretty cool, but I(Rosy) am here to tell you about the other fun things we did with Mama and Daddy at the Shingletown/Mt Lassen KOA/Kanine Kamp we visited in CeCe last month!!

Kamp K9 is located in the Lassen National Forest and we spent the first day we got there exploring the Kampsite forest!

This is the nice office where Mama and Daddy checked in, it was right across from our camping spot!

Believe it or not, Kamp K9 is in the middle of bear country.

Thank goodness they were friendly, because were everywhere around Kamp!

Here we are in Fort Imagination pretending Daddy is rescuing us from a castle tower.
(Cause we are both fairy princesses!)

Daddy and I also did some bird watching in a special area they had set aside just for birds. It had all kind of bird houses, bird baths and bird feeders!
(Mama had to hold Sunny back so she didn't bark all the birds away...that girl sure does LOVE to bark)

I made sure we all got to bed early, because I knew we were going on a big adventure the next day!

Mama decided that bringing the car along on trips (that aren't too far away) would be a good idea. This way we can go for adventures near our camping spot without having to disconnect all of CeCe's wires and stuff. So when we woke up early Saturday morning, we all hopped in the car and headed for a ride through Lassen Forest.

 We ended up at
It is a beautiful park with lots of trails to go hiking. A lot of the trails are pet friendly, but the ones that go around the water fall aren't. That's ok though, because Daddy took us for a run/walk on all the pet friendly trails while Mama walked
down to take pictures of the waterfall.

Don't worry, we saw them from the viewing platform and they sure were LOUD!!  Mama made a short video so you could see and hear them for yourself.

You can also view the video HERE on YouTube

After a long day hiking and visiting the falls, it was nice to get back to CeCe and snuggle while watching a movie.

Being a travel hostess is hard work, but I am really enjoying it!

Join me later in May when Arty and I  go to go south to find some warmer weather and celebrate his 9th Birthday!

Show us your nature! It can be flowers, your current weather, a scene out of your window, or maybe a picture from a vacation, walk or other journey! Any kind of nature picture will do! If you don't see a link below, click HERE  to go to our Hoppity Page.

  9. It sounds like being a fairy princess might be a little easier than a warrior princess...hmmm, I may have to talk to Mommy about this...nah, I'm just getting the hang of it. XOX Xena
What a great trip you are having with so many interesting things to do. If you'll excuse me now, listening to that waterfall has made me have to "go out." XOX Lucy

  18. Lulu: "Those waterfalls sure were loud all right! And so much water going over them! In fact ... excuse me, I need to go outside for a minute."
Charlee: "Well while Lulu is out answering the call of nature, tell us more about this area that's set aside for birds."
Chaplin: "Yes, specific directions on how to get there would be appreciated. Just, you know, for reference purposes. Not because we're planning to go stalk the birds or anything."

  19. What a wonderful trip!!! The waterfalls are amazing, but we are glad you didn't get too close. You two princesses had a great protector there in Dad.
