The Pawrent's Travel Tuesday by Rosy

A few weeks ago, Mama and Daddy traveled without us for the first time in a LONG time! We missed them tons but it was nice to spend time with our nannies too.

Plus, they say absence makes the heart grow fonder right??

Anyway, I told Mama she could post her pictures here if she would let me share her journey with you all!
(Thanks to my good friend Xena for this idea!)

Mama thought it would be great flying again...but alas,  there were a few delays and she and Daddy had to wear muzzles for the 14 hours they spent traveling each wa. Needless to say they don't think they'll be flying again for awhile....

Of course, I'm sure they would have had a better time in the airports if I would have been there.

They flew into Detroit, Michigan and took a nice car ride from the Airport to the Lodge where they were meeting Daddy's family.

I bet it would have been nicer in CeCe with me...

But anyway...

Along the way North, they stopped in Frankenmuth, a pretty German town and home of the famous Bronner's Christmas store where Mama has always wanted to visit.

Bronner's opened in 1945 and claims to be biggest Christmas store in the world!

Mama told me they had so many ornaments it would have taken days to see all of them!

The store wasn't all they had though, there were all kinds of outside decorations too.

They even have their very own Santa!

Arty told me that my Angel Big Brother Bilbo's Best Gal, Angel Sasha used to visit here all the time in the Winter back in "the day".

Hopefully we can take CeCe back here one day and visit when all the lights are lit
(and I can be there too!!).

Now Daddy, when are you going to retire can take us to Michigan in CeCe??

We are joining Sandee at  Comedy Plus for the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop this week!

  1. What a great trip your parents had. And yes Rosy, we too say it's time your Daddy retired. Gail highly recommends it, even though her plans for travel outside the UK have not been possible since, three weeks after she finished work, the whole country locked down and she couldn't go anywhere, and even now travel outside the UK is restricted and much more complicated than it used to be. Gail thinks you guys in the USA are lucky in having such a big country to travel around with so many different landscapes and climate zones. Here in Scotland we need to go to another country if we want to find reliably sunny weather!

  4. Way before any of us were born Mom was a flight attendant and she flew out of Detroit. She didn't live there very long but she knows that area well. Hope your parents had fun except for the flying part.

  5. Whew Rosy that was quite a not so great new experience flying with muzzles.
But thank goodness once on the ground the had a super duper fun time and Momma got some fab pictures. I suspect if you or Sunny had been with them there would have been 5* treatment. BOL BOL

  6. Lulu: "Hmm, I wonder if the Bronners who run the Christmas Store are related to the Bronners who make the soap my Mama and Dada like ..."

  7. The trio definitely would have been better with you and worhout muzzles. Lady thinks she was at that Christmas store 87 million years ago.

  15. OH, our Mom could probably spend hours and hours in that store. And she would probably spend way too many green papers. That was a wonderful trip for the peeps, and we hope you can all go there one day in CeCe.

  16. Rosy, you did a 4 paws up job. You might try weaving a story into your next commentary on your pawrents trip. You know, like I did with the two birds. Anyhoo, I hear Michigan is a lo-o-o-o-ng way from California! Your pal, Xena
