Wings on Wednesday - Ollie the Oriole

Birdy watching has become a big past time here at the LLB household. So popular, that Mama has installed a Birdy Spy Cam...OH, I mean "trail camera"...to record some of the
bird drama we don't get to see in person. We told Mama we didn't mind if she shared some of those videos(and drama) as we join YAM Aunty for Wings on Wednesday!

To kick off our version of wings on Wednesday, we spied, I mean watched, the skittish Oriole, Ollie!
Watch it HERE on YouTube too.

I don't know about you, but I think birds can be pretty silly!!

  3. Ollie is absolutely beautiful! Didn't we read that Orioles like oranges? We will have to get an orange and see if Ollie appears at our house.

  4. We don't watch birds at our house unless we think for a minute they are a critter. Bert enjoys bird watching, but he is the only one. Maybe you guys are bird dogs?

  5. Ollie you are a most handsome Oriole. I have never seen any of your kin in the feathers
Hangry hummers with sharp beaks and faster than greased lightning wings can be dangerous
May I suggest you find another source of sugar.
    Hugs Cecilia

  6. Orioles are such pretty birds. Yours are a little different from the ones we see here. Ours drink out of the hummingbird feeders too!

  7. we would love to have a cam in our yard, we saw the little face of a half grown raccoon peering throught the hole in the fence, so we imagine what a night time cam would show us.
you look focused on those birds, Rosy. and now I am humming I'm just a swingin song in my head. that birdy must know that song

  12. Chaplin: "Birds are definitely silly. That's why we need to catch them. To, you know, educate them."
Oona: "Educate??? YOU SAID OONA COULD EAT THEM!!!"
Chaplin: "Shhhh, you'll give us away."

  13. We agree with Chaplin. The birdies need "educated." Mmmm, educated. Thanks, Rosy, for showing us breakfast, um, er, I mean a pretty birdie! XOX Xena
