Traveling Flower Friday

This week, because of Mama's forgetfulness "technical difficulties" I am hosting a "Traveling" Seeing Beautiful Flower Friday!

Mama and I have seen so many beautimous flowers on the road!
In California I took the time to smell these pretty red flowers!
Aren't they purdy??!!

Could they be red oleander perhaps??

We also found this cool olive tree!!

New Mexico was full of flowers!!

You can tell they have lots of hard working pollinators!

Here is a lovely butterfly bush with pink flowers with orange middles!!

These are pretty coral pink flowers with cool pink pods!!
(OH, and another hard working bee!)

Mama really loved this tree with pink flowers!

They look like some kind of orchid or maybe sweet pea??

Of course, we found loads of flowers in Texas too!

Here is another orchid-looking flower

An Indian Blanket flower

Very cool purple star looking flowers

Dynomite Crepe Myrtle

We found these all around our hotel in Austin.

Look at the little curly cues on this cute yellow flower!

Yam Aunty let us know this flower is called a Plumbago!

and rounding off our Texas Flowers is some pretty pink oleander!

To wrap up our traveling Flower Friday we have a few flowers from Arizona

 A yellow daylilly...

...and some pretty thistle-y purple flowers!!

Mama and I should be home this evening and are looking forward to sleeping in our own beds tonight!

Thanks for joining us this week for Flower Friday (Dory will return next Friday)feel free to hop aboard and show us what flowers you saw this week!!

  4. OH MY Dogs Arty Mama owes you big time for these gorgeous flowers. Had it not been for you and your need to potty and get out of the car she might have missed them.

We have never seen an olive tree and did not know how big they were in the shell.
    Mom thought they were limes.

OOOOHHHH what a lovely selection!!! Buddliaea (AKA Butterfly Bush) has so many colour varieties - this is beautiful. The coral one is similar to one I had in OZ - but can't recall the name! Maybe look up Desert Willow for the tree... the blue 'star' is a form of tradescantia; the purple and yellow ones are varieties (I am 99% sure) of solanum. Can't help with the hotel lily (too many varieties!) The 'thistle' is a variety of knapweed (centaura).

Golly you got a whole BOUQUET Arty - look out Dory, you got a competitor!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  9. We thinks the pretty coral pink flowers with cool pink pods is a pomegranate. And we have that same blue flower the looks kinda like mouse ears growing in our yard. Mommy is going to try to find out it's name. You can see it here http://atcad.blogspot.com/2015/03/thursday-in-garden-flashback-2014.html
