Thanks for letting me tag along today Arty, I'll do my best to help identify some of my native Hawaiian Flowers! First we have some Red Tower Ginger! Isn't it pretty with the little yellow blooms peaking out!
...and over here are a bunch of Blue Ginger!
You sure know a bunch about flowers, Peabody!
Thanks Arty! My Mama and I have spent hours roaming the gardens and she taught me the names of most of the pretty flowers and plants we see!

For instance take a gander at this bright red Anthurium,
and are some pretty pink Rose Grape flowers, don't they look like a cluster of grapes?!
If you gaze over here, you see some red Indian Head Ginger. Just look at the flecks of yellow, aren't they cheerful??
Isn't this spider lily gorgeous?!

Oh..Hi Mama! Arty this is my Mama, Priscilla the Peacock! Don't worry, I'll be home soon Mama, just a couple of more flowers!
Here is another Red Ginger flower...this one is glistening with raindrops!
Look over here, Arty...a pretty purple orchid tree!!!
Oh no Arty...We were having so much fun, I lost track of time!!

ReplyDeletePeabody was a wonderful flower 🌺 guide. I enjoy learning the names of flowers. One of the beast books I hav3 is “Weeds of the West.” I like 5aking walks around here and wherever we go and identify wildflowers. We’re hoping to go to Hawaii nest winter.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH MY WORD PEACOCK THE PEACOCK IS ADORABLE AND A FLOWER EXPERT TOO! I'VE NEVER SEEN AN ADULT PEACOCK LIKE PRISCILLA. THEY MUST BE A SPECIAL VARIETY IN HAWAII.

Peabody was a hoot! Thanks for bringing him along ;) The Maui flowers are other-worldly... I love all of them but I think that the spider lily is so cheery. It made me smile.

OMD! Those flowers are incredible! It was so nice of Peabody to show you around the gardens. Our spider lilies aren't nearly that fancy! LOL!
