Winter in Wine Country

Rosy here today to show you a few pictures Mama took a couple of weeks ago when they stopped in Napa Valley.

Mama thought you might want to see what Wine Country looks like during the Winter.

The little wine trees are all bare and waiting for Spring, and there was even snow up on some of the mountaintops.

Mama asked Daddy to stop here...Mama is a big fan of his movies...but his wine not so much, so they kept driving.

Oh, don't worry, Mama would NEVER drive through wine country without stopping at her favorite winery.

St. Supery is her(and Daddy's) favorite wine,  not to mention their favorite winery to stop and explore.

This is the same place she and Daddy brought Arty last year. They are very pet friendly!

Although some of the other trees have leaves, none of the wine trees...

what's that Mama?? They are really called Grapevines?? But you ALWAYS call them wine trees.
No, I am not trying to embarrass you!

Why yes, I could use a cookie to change the subject!

Why don't we wrap things up with a couple of flowers Mama found:

These pretty purple flowers were part of a potted plant arrangement. I really like the bit of yellow in the middle!

...and of course, Mama found a Rosy, just for me!!

We wish you a weekend full of all the quiet Winter brings!
BOLBOLBOL!!!
Just kidding, I NEVER need any quiet time!!!
Hope everyone has a fun weekend filled with FUN!!

Guess what?? I get to head out on for the first trip of 2020!! Tomorrow morning Mama, Daddy and I will hit the road and head south!! Isn't that a pawfect thing to be thankful for this week! Declan the Golden Retriever invited me to be part of his 11th Birthday Pawty Squad in Carmel Valley(you might remember I went to his brother Quinn's pawty last year?)!! I'll get to see Koru Bear and his pawrents, along with some other old and new California friends!

This time I'll get to wish Declan very happy Eleventh Barkday in the furs. How cool is that?!

But what REALLY makes me thankful me is....
Declan's Mama always has LOTS of nommy birthday treats to munch on!! I am ALWAYS thankful for party treats!

What are you waiting for Mama, come on Daddy, let's GO!!

Superbowl Week

Oh, hi there!
I was just thinking about the Superbowl this weekend...and trying to stay pawsitive!

I might be the number one San Francisco 49er fan, but I'm a bit worried about the game this weekend. After all, a lot of my Blogville buddies are Kansas City Chiefs Fans and their Homie, Mahomes is a pretty good Quarterback....

I sure hope the Niners defense and Jimmy G and Mr. Kittle are up to the task!

Wait a minute....what am I saying???
Pppphhhhllppppp to that!!!

GO NINERS!!!

No offense to my Chief friends of course.
(teeheehee)

Thankful Thursday

We are thankful Mama totally forgot about National Hat Day AND National Dress Up Your Dog Day last week.  This week she decided to combine them both. Thankfully, she only use our bandanas for the "dress up" part!

I love to run around and play, and I am always a happy girl. Mama decided to dress me, Rosy,  as a Happy Camper!

I love laying in sun puddles after a nice game of fetch! Mama dressed me, Jakey, as a Sunshine Ball Player.

Arty here and I love to be the center of attention at all times. I am at my happiest when I am on the road so Mama calls me her little
Sinatra on Tour!

We are so very thankful to be three unique personalities in one fun LLB Gang!
(We are also glad no squirrel or other embarrassing costumes were brought out for us to wear!)

It's Nice to Share

What do you mean, "What am I doing?" Mama?
I am getting ready to take a nap in the fuzzy bed.

No...I did not ask Jakey.  He is sleeping on the big bed...IN MY PLACE!

So I am going to nap in his fuzzy bed...
and no, I am not going to move!
Pppppppphhhhhhhhhhllllllllpppppp!

You always say how we are suppose to share, right Mama?

Winter is Here on Nature Friday

Rosy here today to let you know Winter has definitely arrived here on the Northy North Coast of California!  You also may have noticed that some brother decided that, as a result of the 49ers winning last weekend, I had to dress up as a San Francisco 49er for the Nature Friday Post today.
Luckily, I look adorable in red!

Anyway, back to Winter. Although our temperatures don't get below 32 degrees very often, we do get our share of rain...LOTS of rain. We are on a roll this Winter and, as of today, it has rained  for 7 days straight!  Mama stopped by Sequoia Park Gardens in between raindrops to capture a few pictures of what Winter is looking like in our corner of Blogville.

Here is a palm tree blowing in the wind. Some of the storms that blow in from the Pacific Ocean bring lots of wind with them.

All the pretty dahlia plants have been cut back...

They cover them with mulch to make sure they don't get too cold! Mama thought the stems sticking up looked like straws.

Oh Mama do you HAVE to show me dressed up again...let's show everyone the color you found at Sequoia Park Gardens instead, ok??

She found this beautimous yellow flower...it sure looks like one of the dahlias snuck out, doesn't it??

Here is a lonely little purple bloom...

...and finally this cute little yellow flower.  A type of gerbera daisy, perhaps??

We sure hope you find a bit of color during your winter day!

Oh yeah...Arty says I have to say
GO NINERS!!!!

I don't know, I do like cheese, maybe I should route for that cheese-y Packer team from the cheesy state of Wisconsin instead.
 What do you all think?
