Where's the Wildlife?! NF/FFF

Welcome to the wonderful Friday each month where Nature Friday comes together with YAM Aunty's FFF!!  Make sure to visit YAM Aunty HERE to get the Rulez and join the FFF fun!!

I love new hikes, new places to see....

With lots of wildlife for me...to see!

In Grants I was hoping that would be the case...

I sniffed and I sniffed....

Before having Daddy pick up the pace!

I sniffed some more....is that a bunny I smell?

Sunny came over to confirm an answer not swell.

No bunnies, no lizards, no quail and no raven...

I'll have to keep hunting from my inner haven!

We hope all our friends get to see some Nature (or wildlife) this weekend!

Show us your nature! It can be flowers, your current weather, a scene out of your window, or maybe a picture from a vacation, walk or other journey! Any kind of nature picture will do! If you don't see a link below, click HERE  to go to our Hoppity Page.

Thankful for Neighborhood Walkies Thursday

Today, I am very thankful for my neighbrhood walkies and everything I get to see along our route! A couple of weeks ago I showed you the kitties I get to see. Come along with me today and let's look at a couple of other cool things in my neighborhood.

First and most important, are all the neighbor dogs. It's always nice to catch up on the local gossip!

I always enjoy seeing the different ways humans decorate their front yards. In our corner of Blogville humans don't have grassy front yards. Instead they have different colors of decorative rocks.

Bunnies are everywhere and sometimes Daddy will take me to chase them. I always stop (like above) when I see one, to let Daddy know I'm ready to chase it!

The neighbors are all very friendly.
Boney waves to us every time we pass his house.

I am so very thankful to have a quiet, but interesting neighborhood to explore!

Travel Tuesday - This and That in Grants, NM

Howdy all, Sunny here with Mama to report on our trip to Grants, NM.
As you know, we have been to Grants a couple of times. In fact, it was almost a year to the day that we stayed here at Grants KOA last.

This year, even though we went for lots of Lava walks, it was mostly about the humans. You see this was a "RV Club" trip so the pawrents wanted to hang out with their friends. Usually that would
include us pups but ALL the peeps have pups....and if we all went..welllllll...it would be a bark fest. For some reasons humans have a problem when they can't hear each other talk.
Go figure!

All four of the Trailers/RVs above are from our RV Club.
In July there will be anywhere from 8 to 10 RVs!!!

The folks do stuff together during the day.
One group went to the Ice Caves. Since Mama and Daddy went there last year, they chose to go to El Morro National Monument (more on that in a couple of weeks).

They usually try to have at least one dinner out over the weekend. This time they had TWO meals out. The first was Friday night at a diner  (Mama says it may be best not to talk about that one too much).

The next day was much better though.
Saturday afternoon they went to the Junkyard 66 Brewery!

It was a very cool Brewery that used to be a garage!

In fact, it still had LOTS of car stuff in the garage.  They had delicious BBQ sandwiches and the group couldn't stop talking about how fun it was to have the hood of a car as the table.

Daddy said their beer was very good and if he and Mama are ever in the area they would stop by again....with US this time!

Of course, Mama liked that it was located on Route 66!

After lunch, Mama and Daddy did a little shopping before heading back to ArCe to relax for a bit.

After a nice rest, they headed out for some more quality time with the group!

Sunday morning we were packed up and ready to hit the road early. It was a quick and fun trip to Grants with the RV Club and we are looking forward to heading up to Northern New Mexico in June with them for FOUR whole days of fun!

May at the Sasebo Japanese Garden

Welcome to Nature Friday, where we get to meet new friends and share a picture or two of what nature looks like around Blogville. This week, we are back at the Sasebo Japanese Garden to see what is blooming in May. I am thinking a BUNCH is blooming because we have blooms here, and even MORE blooms in the video Mama put together at the end of the post!

Let's get started, we have so much beauty and so little time!
The waterfall is surrounded by greenery, no more bare branches here!

As you walk int the gardens, you are greeted by beautiful White Kousa Dogwood blooms.

The peonies are plentiful, of course Mama and I like these pink and white blooms the most.

The trail throughout the garden is just about totally shaded.

A few humungous Japanese Doublefile Viburnum bushes are in full bloom.

It's amazing how happy flowers can be. Mama is always in a great mood after visiting the
Botanic Gardens!

Japanese Pagodas can be found in many corners so the gardens.

Sun streams in between the trees letting these wild irises to bloom.

Even the wild columbines found there way to the garden. To be fair, these can be found in most corners of the Botanical Gardens.

Mama even found a beautiful pink rose that I'm sending to Phenny, Nellie and all our friends!!

If these aren't enough blooms for you, here is a video Mama put together of her walk through the garden:
