ReplyDeleteAC loves grosbeaks and I have never seen a blackheaded grosbeak.
I love their Long(horn) conical beaks and their Longhorn colors.
Several years ago I was lucky enough to see a M Rose breasted Grosbeak at the feeder. OMDs it was so exotic looking. Crazy me I grabbed my N American birding book to see what it was i saw and lo and behold on the cover the book was a rose breasted grosbeak. A few minutes later I saw a very dull looking bird with the conical beak. It was the female
