Although the scenery is beautiful, the main reason for our visits to Minnesota is for quality family time. I am blessed to have a collection of chosen family (aka in-laws) that I am as close to as I am my family by blood. Ed and I are very thankful we get the chance to catch up with them all together every two years.
We have been able to see nieces and nephews grow and thrive.
This trip was filled with outside exploring as a family.....
... some one on one catching up with crochet needles...
...there was reminiscing while putting together a jigsaw puzzle or two (or three or four).
...some gaming for the twenty somethings....
...and some old time video games for the fifty somethings (and younger fans)
We are so thankful for these wonderful family reunions as they re-enforce that family time truly is the best time!

Family times are the best times around here too. Mom has been doing a lot of "cleaning out" the storage areas and came across our human brother's Nintendo game from the 80s. She got all the extra cords she needs to set it up on our Smart TV. She is hoping it still works so the grands can play the oldtimers game.
