Welcome to the wonderful Friday each month where Nature Friday comes together with YAM Aunty's FFF!! Make sure to visit YAM Aunty HERE to get the Rulez and join the FFF fun!!

We totally missed Take A Hike Day this year, but today I wanted to say how very thankful we are for our local hikes. Last week I went on a special Mama, Daddy and me hike along the Rio Grande River. It is a very pretty trail about 15 minutes from home.

It was a beautiful day and the Rio Grande was pretty full because of the rains we had in October.

We had a beautiful view of the Sandia Mountains along part of our walk.

The trail was surrounded by beautiful Cottonwoods wearing their lovliest Autumn gold leaves.

As you can imagine, I was all smiles, mostly because I got to stop and smell EVERYTHING!

Daddy and I make good walking buddies because we both like to walk and he makes sure to stop whenever I want to stop and smell something. Mama, well she likes to "meander" look for the "perfect shot" for the blog like the artsy one above of me and Daddy under the leaf.

I am so happy and thankful to have so many hiking trails less than 30 minutes from home!
I hope all our friends get to see some nature this weekend!

Show us your nature! It can be flowers, your current weather, a scene out of your window, or maybe a picture from a vacation, walk or other journey! Any kind of nature picture will do! If you don't see a link below, click HERE to go to our Hoppity Page.
that pathway is calling to Beau and I, both the gold and the not gold. you look so cute heading off with your Daddy. Beau still looks over his should sometimes to see if Daddy is following even though its been a year since he did..

ReplyDeleteRosy OMDs OMDs what a beautiful place to take Dad for a walk and he didn't even need a walking string. I have never seen a cottonwood tree so I thoroughly enjoyed all these views.
