I have a battle injury. I was out guarding my yard this weekend and while making sure the squirrels stayed in their trees I hurt my footie!!
This is my pathetic look. I mean seriously, aren't you suppose to get extra breakfast when you are injured?? If you are my Mama the answer is NO...Leave it...and that is BILBO's. Sheesh...Bilbo isn't injured Mama.
I am trying not to chew on my footie...but sometimes I can't help it. Mama said something about going to the
V-E-T later this morning because she doesn't know how to fix it and it doesn't seem to be getting any better.
MEANWHILE.....
There are squirrels ALL OVER my backyard....cause I can' get out to chase them!!
They are eating all the birdie food.....
AND...putting their dirty squirrel feeties ON MY BACKYARD!!!
...and I am stuck on the futon.....Hope that the V-E-T can help me feel better quick....
From the Mama: We are not sure what is going on with Miss Dory's foot. She doesn't like when we touch it, but let's us anyway...she isn't crying when we touch anything in particular. But she is not putting any pressure on it and is staying in her bed or on the floor and is not interested in going outside which is VERY against her nature. We will see what the vet says and keep you updated.
Oh no!! Did you step on one of the acorn landmines that those stupid squirrels put out?!? I'm calling all dogs to arms to fight the evil tree rats! They've gone TOO FAR!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon! Crossing my paws for a speedy recovery!!
Oh NO! A BATTLE injury! You need a purple heartie bandaid on yer tootsie. BLASTED Squirrels! I got a nailbed injury scrabbling after squirrelies myself. Had to wear that dang cone of humiliation till it healed. I had licked it so much it was infected. Be BRAVE at the vetties office. I am packing up my hunting supplies...new hunting t-shirt, squirrel catch bag, tiara, nail polish...and will be right over to dispatch those squirrelies for you while you are laid up. Is it just me or are there WAY more pesky squirrels than normal?
ReplyDeletesniffies,
Bonnie
peesess...Momma should be giving your more foodies while you are hurt. That's why they call it comfort food, right?
Oh poor baby
ReplyDeleteDo you believe what the squirrleys are capable of. They should be shot!! We will keep all our paws crossed for you
Benny & Lily
Pee.S We just love your pathetic look.
Oh no. We feel sad for you Dory. We hope your footy is feeling better soon so you can get those rodents.
ReplyDeleteLove Ruby & Penny
I have no idea who you are, but your paw must be very painful. Eat the blue kibble, not the red.
ReplyDeleteMr. Anderson
Oh no! Please let us know what you find out at the vet. Take care, my friend....
ReplyDeleteOh poor Dory, we are so sorry you have an ouchie paw!
ReplyDeleteWe bet you hurt it seeing off those pesky squirrels.

Oh no, Dory! We hope your hannie feels better soon! We know about those nasty critters - they don't come into our yard anymore...they just sit up in the trees or on the roof of our house and laugh at us and drive us nuts (BOL!)with their teasing.
ReplyDeleteCan't Bilbo help you out with guard duty?

Poor Dory! Those squirrels are EVIL! I for one would likes to express my Most Deepest thanks for sacrificing the body to keep the world free of Squirrel Invaders. I bet the V.E.T. will fix you up and you'll be back on patrol in no times at all!

ReplyDeleteOh no, Dory, you got to get well soon, those squirrels are taking over your backyard!!
ReplyDeleteOh Dory, we hope your owie is nothing serious! We wish we were there to be your personal bouncers and guard your backyard against those dasterdly squirrels whilst you're out of action. We'll be back to check up on how your owie is doing the second you post about it.... Healing schnauzer snuggles - JD and Max.
ReplyDeleteAw Dory, I'm sorry you have an injury. I hope the squirrels don't get too far out of control while you are recovering. I hope the vet can make you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteThose nasty squirrels just Don't Fight Fair! (And no extra breakfast?!? I think that you should talk to the Geneva Convention people about that - I think that those who are wounded in battle automatically get extra breakfast - it's in the Rules of Combat. Or something.) Keep us posted on what the V-E-T says - hopefully you'll be on the mend soon (and back on the front lines!)!

You sure look totally adorable in those pix and especially that last, but we are so sorry your footsie is owwies. I sometimes limp a bit and Ma worries and then it goes away. I think we get "hitches in our getalongs" occasionally from doing so much exercise and turns and twists that like my booboos, get better with rest. I hope that's the case with you, dear one. Looking to hear about you!
