Jakey here today to wish everybuddy a very Happy Travel Tuesday!!
Before I share our fun stay at the Sou'wester resort, I thought I would show
you around our RV!!
Here it is from the outside! Once again, the RV place must have heard the Blogville Mayor would be traveling in it because it was brandy new!
This is our bedroom that we shared with Mama and Daddy for one night before we decided it might be better for one of the peeps to sleep elsewhere
as they were hogging all of the bed!
Here is the view from our bedroom. The peeps had a little bathroom directly to the left in this picture.
Now, on to our stay!!
It was pouring rain when we arrived and again when we left, so we didn't get to see much of the place. But Mama took us on a quick walkabout before we left. You can visit the Sou'wester Homepage
Mama loved the "Artsy" feel of this place from the Lodge...It was built in 1892 and the upstairs was originally a ballroom!!!
They had all knds of cool stuff in the "honor system" Thrifty Trailer!
The vintage trailers were adorable!
Mama says the next time we take a trip or she goes on a photo journey it will be during the, not as rainy, summer when she can explore more without having to worry about our muddy pawsies! She would love to stay in one of the trailers!
It stopped raining for awhile and we headed out on the Discovery Trail which is within walking distance of the Sou'wester! We went north for like 87 miles (or maybe 2).
We saw cool dolphin statues...
...and I even posed on it!
Of course, Mama had to stop and take 87 pictures and I had to keep her moving so we could catch up to Daddy!
We saw some COOL kites!
...and some wooden whales...
We all saw our very first Bald Eagle in the wild and we didn't bark at it or anything!!
With all the rains, Mama didn't get as many pictures as she would have liked, but we had a very relaxing time at the Sou'wester!!
Make sure to join us next week as our rainy day adventures continue through Ocean City State Park and Forks, Washington!!
Love those dolphin and whale sculptures. And Gail knows all about the rain and muddy paws issue!
ReplyDeleteGoodness! We just love those vintage trailers and all those cool sculptures! Sounds like a good time was had by all!

MOL MOL MOL Mayor Arty and Jakey 'you two decided one of the peeps had to sleep elsewhere'! Mom was worried someone was banished to the out of doors in a tent. You two crack me up.
ReplyDeleteIt was a very nice RV and shiny. I love the RV park and all the little shiny vintage trailers
THOSE kites were amazing. Mom said she'd be afraid they would take her up up and away though.
MOL I told her I thought she was miscalculating her weight.
Hugs madi your bfff
What a grreat time! Momma wanted to rent a little RV for the BAR last year, but it didn't work out. Maybe she'll try again after seeing all the fun you two had.
ReplyDeleteI can tell dad still loved you in that last photo even if you did kick him out of YOUR bed... I really like your home away from home and those little trailers are adorable. we have many parks here in Bradenton that still have those little trailers with peope living in them, they have been parked in the parks for 60 plus years and are cheap rentals for people with money problems... love those wooden carvings
ReplyDeletelooks like it was a most fun time!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou sure did see some cool things. Those dolphin statues are very interesting - you were a great addition to it:) Mom was amazed by those brightly colored kites. She has a hard enough time getting a simple kite to fly. Thanks for sharing these great pics from your trip.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Misty and Lightning
What a cool place to visit! You're right, the vintage trailers are pawsitively adorable. But then again, your house on wheels is pretty posh too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic trip. We love your RV and your cool bedroom

What a wonderful and interesting place! Mom had to laugh about the bed. Many years ago when there were FIVE pugs (CharShu, Pugsley, McKenzie, Bailey & Hazel) it was the same camping.
ReplyDeleteMom and the pugs slept in the bed and Dad slept in the extra bed. BOL!
hugs
Mr Bailey, Hazel & Mabel
Wow! Wow! WOW!!!!! That is all so exciting! We LOVE that Bald Eagle (aren't they awesome birdies?!?!) and the statue/carving of the dolphins was so cool -- Jakey, it's like you were swimming right there with them or something!
ReplyDeleteYours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher
First, I love your new wallpaper. You ran your Dad out of your bed, wow! I am glad you are all having such a good time on your camping trip.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a fantastic place! We're happy you can now spread out in bed!
ReplyDeleteYour mama still got some wonderful photos! We love the eagle photo. She is soooo lucky to get that one! We like those kites too!
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
Oh my goodness - those kites were incredible! They would've scared Shyla unbelievably badly but they are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had such a relaxing trip!
