Rosy here reporting from Sequoia Gardens to let you know the Dahlias are blooming like crazy! In fact, they are blooming so much it will probably take up most of our August Nature Fridays! This week let's take a look at all the different pinkish variation dahlias I found!
Here we have a pink dahlia with pointy petals...
Don't worry, there are lots of pink ones with curved petals too!
We found a few different pink dahlias with yellow mixed in too!
This one kinda looks like a Mama hugging a baby dahlia..
...and these look like dahlia fire works, don't you think??
Here are our favorite pinkies...
These pink petals almost looks painted onto this pretty bloom!
This pink is so dark, it's almost purple.
We also like the way the petals are spiraling in the middle.
Mama and I both picked this one as our favorite...it is almost the pawfect pink!!
Thanks for stopping by to see our pink dahlias. I'll be back in two weeks with more dahlia beauty!!
I want to warn you that next week is Shark Week around here, thanks ahead of time for being patient and letting Mama get her shark on. We decided this year we are going to be nice and let Mama make us look all kinds of silly in various shark poses. Be warned tho Mama, you better have the right kind of Chum* to attract all of your

We loved seeing all the beautiful flowers! When my ghostwriter was growing up in Niagara Falls NY, her family would often go across the Rainbow Bridge to Canada to visit the spectacular Horticultural Gardens there. If you ever visit Niagara Falls, be sure you to the Canadian side too. BTW the bridge there is called the Rainbow Bridge, because it has a good view of the rainbows formed by the mist from the Falls.
ReplyDeleteAll the dahlias are just so gorgeous, just like you, Rosy. Hard to pick a fav, but we really like the one of the Mama and baby.

Isn't it funny that a flower can have so many different looks. Kind of like us schnauzers. Some of us are bigger or smaller, some are all black, while others have black and silver (like Angel Lexi) and others (like me) have "salt and pepper" coloring. There are also white one, and of course all our faces are different, just like peeps! XOX Xena
ReplyDeleteYou are always prettier than the flowers which are incredible! We hope y'all are avoiding the beach during Shark Week.
ReplyDeleteWe can't wait to see shark week! Love your flowers!
