Last weekend Rosy and I were lucky and got to go with Mama and Daddy
to Napa Valley!! Mostly, this trip was just for relaxing and it was nice to be able to get away for a weekend of fun in the sun!
Mama made a reservation to go taste wine at St.Supery Winery on Saturday and guess what?? We got to go too!!
It was a beautiful day with blue skies and warm temperatures!
The grapes seem to like it and Mama says it will help them grow into big strong wines!
We had fun exploring the St. Supery gardens...
After a little walk around the grounds, it was time to go in for our tasting!!
Rosy and I were very happy that it was inside. The air conditioning felt wonderful
after the running around we were doing outside!
I was also happy I had my stroller, it gave me a human eyed view of what was going on at the table! They set out two glasses of red wine and two glasses of white wine for Mama and Daddy to taste!
Daddy let me smell the wines...this one had a very fruity bouquet with an undertone of peaches!
I would have tasted it too....but Mama said no.
Sheesh, doesn't she know I'm almost 70 in doggy years?? that's plenty old enough to taste a little wine!
Rosy was more interested in what the people at the other table were tasting!
Mama made a short video of our day wine tasting...
You can also watch it HERE, on YouTube.
We always enjoy our CeCe trips but I must say Napa Valley has been our favorite weekend getaway so far!
Thanks so much for hanging out with us today!
We are joining Sandee at Comedy Plus for the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop this week!

ReplyDeletea case of the destination being the journey... and bringing a 'case' home! Not hard work posing for this one, I am sure. Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Mom used to live near a winery in sourthern Germany. She would walk around there with her dog at the time. Since she doesn't drink, there was no need for tasting, but she loved the site as it was beautiful, right on Lake Constance near a pretty old church. Happy travels.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun place to visit and it's so pretty there! Bummer that you couldn't taste the grapes or the wine but it looks like you both had fun anyway!
ReplyDeleteYou both were so good on your visit to the Napa Valley and we're proud of that you did not
ReplyDelete"whine" about anything.
Never before did two pups look so at home in a winery!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a great place to visit. How nice that they let you doggies in for the tasting part too.
ReplyDeleteArty you absolutely made me giggle girl: "Daddy let me smell the wines...this one had a very fruity bouquet with an undertone of peaches!" Definitely 70 is a perfect age for sipping especially when one has such a good nose as you.
ReplyDeleteI love your hat and Rosy (and I Nosey) would be people watching together.
Thank you for the road trip
Hugs cecilia
You two sure had quite the tasting adventure, even without the tasting part!
ReplyDeleteWow! You doggies got to go inside for a wine tasting? So lucky! We have a lot of wineries here in WNY, especially around the Finger lakes.
ReplyDeleteYou both certainly look happy to be in Napa Valley. And Arty, we had no idea you are such a wine conoisseur, and by your nose alone!
ReplyDeleteLulu: "Was one of those reds a merlot? Because according to Dada there was this famous movie once where the main character said he wasn't drinking any f—"
ReplyDeleteCharlee: "Lulu! Careful what you quote!"
Lulu: "—ruity merlot, so I bet there's plenty left for everyone else."
Charlee: "Whew, that was a close one."
Oh how fun. You got to go too and that's even better. I've not been to that winery. I need to fix that.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches all around and my best to your thoughtful peeps. ♥
