I'm not sure if you heard, but there was a strong earthquake where we used to live in California. All our friends are ok, the electricity is back on, and things are working there way back to normal. Today though, we wanted to do a Nature Friday Flashback about the beautiful trees in Humboldt County...~~~~~~~~
Happy
Friday everyone! Today, in honor of the howliday season, I thought we
would take a little look at part of our local Redwood forest!
Such tall trees..
and what beautiful greenery on the forest floor!
Even the tree tops are a beautiful forest green!
I'm off to finish my Peppermint Puppachino.Thanks
for joining me for our little look at our Redwood Forest.
~~~~~~~
We are wishing all our Blogville pals who celebrate a very Merry Christmas!!!
Show
us your nature! It can be flowers, your current weather, a scene out of your window, or maybe a
picture from a vacation, walk or other journey! Any kind of nature picture will do! If you don't see a link below, click HERE to go to our Hoppity Page.
ReplyDeleteOooohh. No, hadn't heard about the quake - glad to read things are sorting themsevles out. Oh those trees... where you live now definitely has lots to commend it, Rosy, but it must be a little nostaligic to look at these images and remember walkies there! (At least that is what happens to me when I think about OZ...) Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Hi Rosy,
ReplyDeleteWe loved re-visiting those glorious redwoods. We hadn't heard about the earthquake but have been getting reports of the exceptionally cold weather covering most of the USA and are hoping that things are OK in New Mexico.
Toodle-oo!
Nobby (and Gail).
We heard about the quake and we are so happy that your friends are okay. The redwoods are just stunning! Merry Christmas to all of you!
ReplyDeleteThe redwoods are, have always been among the most glorious of trees ... and we are hopeful all will be done for their preservation. Good that your friends in California are well and safe ~ also good that the "cold/flu bug" has departed your home! Thank you, Rosy, for a sweet post on this cold Friday, as always you did well ... and a Merry Joyful Christmas to one and all at LLB. Love from JUNE and Ann.
ReplyDeleteWe heard about the earthquake, but we have no idea where it was or where exactly you lived. Have a very Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeletethank you for the trees, Redwoods are on my bucket list and will never happen. this is next best to seeing them in person. enjoy your bark cup
ReplyDeleteWe did hear about the earthquake in N. Cal...we wondered if it was close to where the LLB gang used to live. I am so thankful all your friends in the area are ok and things are getting back to normal. Mother Nature and Old Man Winter need to take some chill pills...they have been on a very nasty rampage of late.
We missed the news about the earthquake because we have been wrapped up in our own bad weather. Those trees made us smile and a little sad because already this morning we had one of our big trees come crashing into the lawn. It is far from the house and not on the road, so that at least is good. Happy holidays, Lee and Phod who are very stressed because of the winds and generator.
ReplyDeleteWe heard about that big quake and thought it was right where you used to live. It's good to hear all is well there now. Those sure are the most majestic trees we've ever seen.
ReplyDeleteGlad your friends are ok ~ and lovely photos of the glorious trees and wonderful doggie photos ~ Xo
ReplyDeleteWishing you Happy Holidays, good health and laughter,
We hadn't heard about the CA quake, but are glad your friends are ok. It's been way too cold here, and we have to wear our sweaters to go out for a one minute pee. Love you! Xena, Lucy, Chia and Riley
