Thankful for Random Act of Ducks!

Have you ever been "ducked"??
Although we had heard about how owners for Jeep cars may find rubber duckies on their cars, but last week it happened to US.  Mama came out from the grocery store and found a cute little rubber ducky on JeeJee's door that made her smile from ear to ear!

We all decided we would love to spread smiles too. So we asked YOUTUBE  what she could tell us
about this Random Act of Kindness, and we found this:

Needless to say, after visiting Amazon,...
We are ready to start ducking!!
We'll keep you updated on the cars we "duck" during adventure
season this year!

The way the world is today, we are thankful for little
"Random Acts of Kindness" that help humans smile!

Happy Day Trip with Rosy(Part 1)-Soda Dam & Valles Caldera

Last weekend, the pawrents surprised me with a special "Rosy Day Trip"(Sunny is not into road trips, unless we are staying in CeCe, so she held down the house).

We decided to explore a little of the Northeastern part of the state! Today, on the first part of the journey, I'm going to show you Soda Dam and Valle Caldera.

I was a little hesitant at first, Mama has been known to take me to the dogtur or vet when we get in JeeJee. Luckily, I saw that Daddy was driving, and settled in and relaxed.

There are beautiful red rocks along the Jemez River, within 30 minutes of our home, and is always a favorite ride of the pawrents. I was glad I could finally tag along and see the beauty for myself!

We might have mentioned Soda Dam before as Mama took a ride out there last year. But this was the first time Daddy and I had visited.

This 7000 year old natural rock formation was formed by calcium carbonate bubbling up from hot springs beneath the dam.

The Jemez River runs through the dam creating a cool "Soda" natural bridge(in this case "Soda" is referencing sodium carbonate...just because Mama was wondering, she thought you might be too).

During most of our ride we skirted the Valles Caldera National Reserve. When we saw this Valle Grande tourist area, we decided to take a break to stretch our leggies!

The Valles Caldera National Preserve, in the Jemez Mountains, is the crater of a volcano that erupted over 1.2 million years ago. The crater is dormant but not extinct.  Now Mama says we could go on and on about the great big volcano under New Mexico that heats multiple hot springs in the area, along with other signs of volcanic activity....but to me, there was something MUCH more interesting that volcanoes and stuff...

Daddy and I were doing our hiking thing when I spied....out in the field...

 PRAIRIE DOGGIES!!!!

Now that's something to be happy about!

There were prairie doggies everywhere we turned. This one thought he was hiding from me....

If I didn't have Daddy to walk, I would totally get you Mr. Prairie Doggie Phhhhwap!!!!

It's always fun finding a place that it is interesting for the pawrents with something fun for me to see too!

Mama made a video with all the sights we saw during the first leg of our trip:

You can watch it HERE on our YouTube Channel too.

We'll be back next Tuesday with more road trip fun!

Backyard Spring Blooms 2024 - Part 2

Howdy effuryone!
Welcome to Nature Friday, where we get to meet new friends and maybe share a picture or two of what nature looks like around Blogville.  This week we are back to wrap up what Spring looks like in our backyard as we take a look at our blooming trees!

Our crab apple tree put on quite a show this year.

The blooms were such a vibrant pink...

...and they look so beautiful against the blue sky!

Our next blooms are from our dwarf apple tree. They are also pink, but much lighter!

The dwarf apple tree is the bunnies and birdies favorite tree because in the late Summer and early Fall, it drops little apples for them eat!

The dark pink buds unfold to these beautiful blooms!

Most of these itty bitty flowers will become an apple!

Did you get to watch trees blooming in your corner of Blogville? What colors have you seen?

We hope all our friends have a chance to get out and see some nature this weekend!!

Show us your nature! It can be flowers, your current weather, a scene out of your window, or maybe a picture from a vacation, walk or other journey! Any kind of nature picture will do! If you don't see a link below, click HERE  to go to our Hoppity Page.

Thankful for Ladybug Season!

The other day when Mama and I were sitting on the back porch, we saw our first ladybug!!

Did you know that, along for being known for bringing good luck, ladybugs can be beneficial for your garden?? Do you hate those little aphid bugs that eat your plants? Well, the ladybug's
most favorite food is the aphid!
They also like to eat mealybugs and lace bugs!!
You can read about the benefits of ladybugs HERE.

I think the most important benefit is Ladybugs add beauty and style to any garden or backyard!

Thanks ladybugs, for all you do!!

Happy Little Rosy Tongue(s) on Tongue Out Tuesday

Today, I wanted to show you my different looks for
Tongue Out Tuesday. Let's start with my
"aren't I a little cutie?" look. Notice, that I just let the very tippy tip of my tongue show. This always pulls on Mama's or Daddy's heart strings....

Next we have the medium bleppy tongue. This is good if I want to give Mama a giggle and usually happens if I'm tired and ready for a nap.

This is Mama's favorite ToT.
My happy smile gets her every time, this usually results in a treat or two.

Which, of course leads to my favorite ToT....

The
"That was YUMMY"
tongue!

Which is your favorite ToT look??
