Thanksgiving Eve Quails

We are celebrating November with gratitude again this year.  Every day during the month we will find something to be thankful for, be it big or small, to share with you.

In honor of US Thanksgiving this week, we wanted to honor the wonderful and delicious Turkey...BUT unfortunately, we don't have any turkeys that visit our backyard. Instead, we have the cute squeaks of  the Gambel's Quail

What's that Mama, some people think quail tastes like turkey?
I don't know...they may be too cute to eat.
What do you think??

We are joining Sandee at Comedy Plus for the
Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop this week!

Yes, Sunny, those who eat of the bird tend to consider Quail a delicacy... but really, how could they??? (Mind you I feel that about all meats...) Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  4. People hunt quail from what we know and then eat them. They are so small, what is the point. I mean don't we want a really big bird if we are going to have one?

  12. We're meat eaters. We have to eat meat to stay alive and healthy. Quail are the prey, we're the predators. So, Sunny, what do YOU think about eating or not eating meat? XOXOX Chia who eats as much meat as I can get.

  14. I think they are all too cute to eat, but what do I know, I'm the weirdo vegetarian. Quail are rather pretty and I'm glad they visit you.
