We were so happy to see Homer the Hawk out at the fountain a couple of weeks ago. We hadn't seen him for most of the Spring and, although the doves and little birds were happy not to see him, we were getting worried something may have happened to him! Here is some video TC captured:

Thanks for stopping by Homer, maybe come back in the Fall?!

Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop this week!
Beautiful and friendly I hope.

ReplyDeleteYes, a quarterly visit would be fine, just to know Homer is good, but to give plenty of safe playtime to everyone else! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
They are beautiful birds but we're not huge fans and yes, they have to eat too.
ReplyDeleteWe prefer not to see hawks around as it usually means some small creature(s) may be about to lose their lives. They are special birds but not very nice.
ReplyDeleteQue perrita más tierna. Los halcones son fascinantes. Gracias por compartirlo. Saludos desde Bitácora literaria España
ReplyDeleteWhat a great video. I love seeing his striped tail up close.
ReplyDeleteNiece Sunny OMHs Homer is quite distinguished...he might need to shave his legs though.

A note from Bryan. Yesterday I mentioned your wonderful post about Florence. It refreshed his memory about your anniversary trip. He said to tell you and Ed he went all the way back to your very first Italy post. He was in awe of each and every photo, written documentary and video. He said it was the best night' s entertainment he had in months. We both thank you and Ed for sharing each moment.

A beautiful hawk. Not nearly as good looking as you, Sunny. We have a sparrow hawk that shows up now and then. A beautiful bird and you can't find any little birds anywhere when he shows up.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. Scritches to the pups and my very best to their wonderful peeps. ♥
Sunny ~ thanks for the great video of the hawk ~ You are much more beautiful ~
ReplyDeleteHugs ^_^
Our hawks drive the terriers crazy - running around barking at it even when it is high up above the trees. I hope you are kinder to Homer.
ReplyDeleteHomer is a good looking hawk and you're adorable sweet Sunny.
ReplyDeleteSo cute!
ReplyDeleteHawks are pretty amazing. We have some here, they are beautiful to watch as they fly.
