We might be in the chilly wilds of Colorado but when we left Albuquerque it was still warm and bees were buzzing everywhere. Here are a few buzzers Mama saw when she was visiting
the ABQ Botanical Garden...
Maybe it is the bright yellow and orange they are attracted to.
Bees are such hard workers, just like me! I wonder if they ever take vacations to Colorado with their families?
Here is a pretty pink Rose of Sharon. If you look in the shadow, you can see the little buzzy dude inside covered in pollen!
Sunflowers are always a favorite bee magnet, not to mention a favorite flower of a bunch of our friends.
We'll close this Nature Friday post with a pretty sunflower and a busy, buzzy bee.
We will be starting our trek home tomorrow, and should be back in Blogville in time to celebrate...

What amazing photos of the bees, they are so precious insects and we need to look after them. We cannot wait to see your photos from your adventure to Colorado, drive safely home with a woof from Layla
ReplyDeleteHi Rosy, we love your busy buzzy bees and suspect they are indeed particularly attracted to those gorgeous orange and yellow Lantana flowers. We certainly are! We are so looking forward to hearing about your big trip. Gail says would love to be on holiday in beautiful Colorado this week.
ReplyDeleteToodle-oo!
Nobby.
we think they rather go to bee-r in devon uk for a summer break ;O))))
ReplyDeleteWe love all the buzzy bees on the beautiful flowers!
ReplyDeleteMom doesn't like bees or honey, but she says they are super pretty, especially the bumble bees. We have lots of photos of them. Safe travels home.
ReplyDeleteYou are such travelers! We used to go on a lot more road trips….but then COVID happened, and we started the hermit life. We are slowly starting to get out more, like our visit to Sunnybank in NJ. This weekend there is a dog fair about 40 minutes away that we are thinking of visiting, weather permitting. We are on the coast in the Northeast, and even though Hurricane Lee is supposed to miss us, there is expected to be some bad weather and storm surges. Fingers and paws crossed!
ReplyDeleteNice outfit Rosie. Did you use your binos for bee-spotting? Where Tigger and F lived in Greece, that plant you call Lantana threatened to completely take over our garden (and it was prickly too - reaching out its branches to grab people who walked by too close).
ReplyDeleteYou are a cute nature guide, Rosy. We love seeing all the bees your mom found at the garden. There are lots of different kinds of bees all over the flowers we have in our garden.
ReplyDeleteNiece Rosy first of all I love you lantern and binoculars OMDS they are amazing.
ReplyDeleteMom's photos of the bees were so real I feared one might sting me.
Safe travels home to NM. I look forward to all your pictures from Colorado
Hugs Aunty C
We hope you had a pawsome trip to RMNP. The low temps at night have been a nice break from all the heat lately. Safe travels on the trip home.
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty flowers and happy bees. You girls keep plenty warm!
ReplyDeleteWe'll be celebrating Talk Like a Pirate Day with you, Rosy. But we're staying away from the bees. They're good for the planet, but sure does hurt when they sting! XOX Xena
ReplyDeleteYou know our Lady is obsessed with her sunflowers (and they and some bees may make an appearance on our blog soon!). We are already for talk like a pirate day, me mateys! Hope you are enjoying your camping in the Rockies! Lee and Phod
