We might be in the chilly wilds of Colorado but when we left Albuquerque it was still warm and bees were buzzing everywhere. Here are a few buzzers Mama saw when she was visiting
the ABQ Botanical Garden...
The bees were really attracted to the Lantana.
We had never noticed this before....
Maybe it is the bright yellow and orange they are attracted to.
Bees are such hard workers, just like me! I wonder if they ever take vacations to Colorado with their families?
Here is a pretty pink Rose of Sharon. If you look in the shadow, you can see the little buzzy dude inside covered in pollen!
Sunflowers are always a favorite bee magnet, not to mention a favorite flower of a bunch of our friends.
We'll close this Nature Friday post with a pretty sunflower and a busy, buzzy bee.
We will be starting our trek home tomorrow, and should be back in Blogville in time to celebrate...

ReplyDeleteMom doesn't like bees or honey, but she says they are super pretty, especially the bumble bees. We have lots of photos of them. Safe travels home.
ReplyDeleteYou are such travelers! We used to go on a lot more road trips….but then COVID happened, and we started the hermit life. We are slowly starting to get out more, like our visit to Sunnybank in NJ. This weekend there is a dog fair about 40 minutes away that we are thinking of visiting, weather permitting. We are on the coast in the Northeast, and even though Hurricane Lee is supposed to miss us, there is expected to be some bad weather and storm surges. Fingers and paws crossed!
ReplyDeleteNice outfit Rosie. Did you use your binos for bee-spotting? Where Tigger and F lived in Greece, that plant you call Lantana threatened to completely take over our garden (and it was prickly too - reaching out its branches to grab people who walked by too close).
