Howdy! Welcome to Nature Friday, where we get to meet new friends and share a picture or two of what nature looks like around Blogville. Today, I'm here with Flossy the Flamingo to take a gander at what August looks like at the Sasebo Japanese Garden (part of the ABQ Botanic Garden).
The paths are still surrounded in green and mostly in the shade, Mama says it is pretty warm outside, even in the morning, so the shade feels nice.
Japanese Anemone is blooming everywhere. From pretty little buds like these....
Blooms in the shade....
...and sunny blooms, these pretty pink flowers made Mama smile all morning.
They are my favorite color, so you know they made me smile too!
This purple Flax also seems to be big bloomer this time of year!
Those sure are some pretty flowers, aren't they Flossy?? Now, let's take a look at some of the waterfall and its foliage.
The waterfall area is still lined with green, Mama says it's still to warm for the leaves to be changing.
The koi and ducks still like swimming around. This Summer, red crepe myrtles have popped up here and there too!
We'll leave you this week with a dreamy look at some Japanese Maple leaves along with a video Mama made a video of her latest walk:
Thanks for joining us for this month's walk around the Sasebo Japanese Garden. I know we are enjoying seeing how the Garden changes every month.
We hope all our friends get out and experience some nature this weekend!
Show us your nature! It can be flowers, your current weather, a scene out of your window, or maybe a picture from a vacation, walk or other journey! Any kind of nature picture will do! If you don't see a link below, click HERE to go to our Hoppity Page.
This year, my leggy has been a bit more sore than it has been the past few years. Mama says her joints feel the same way. She thinks it might be that we have had more rain and humidity than usual.
In other words, we are blaming it on the weather.
TC captured some of these rainstorms and we thought it might be fun to show you some of the weather drama we get in our corner of Blogville.
(As always, feel free to visit our YouTube Channel HERE)
We know it's been hot around the world this Summer, but have you gotten much rain in your corner of Blogville??
