As we mentioned last week, the pawrents recently visited Washington DC. As you might have guessed,
Mama took a bunch of pictures. Today, we're going to look at some of the monuments they visited.
This is the "Symbol of America" part of the WWII Memorial. It symbolizes the Industrial
Strength of America during WWII.
After the WWII Memorial, the folks strolled to the Lincoln Memorial. They are doing lots of renovations to the outside of the memorial, so this is the best picture Mama has of the beautiful monument.
President Lincoln is doing fine though.
Daddy spent a lot of time near the Congress with his work.
Unfortunately, they let the politicians in there too. This is where they make all the crazy human laws and stuff.
Mama took this from the top of the stairs of the Lincoln Memorial. Usually there would be a "Reflecting Pool" where that little stream is, but they had it drained for maintenance. But you can see all the way to
Capitol Building.
Mama was a little obsessed with the entrance to Chinatown. Built in 1986, the Friendship Arch is a symbol of friendship between China and the United States....hmmmm, maybe it's time to remind both countries they are supposed to be friends.
Last, but not least, is the White House...where President Biden currently resides. He was even in town the week the pawrents were there as he gave his State of the Union Address while the folks were eating dinner at the Cheesecake Factory, it doesn't get much more American than that!

Unfortunately, Mama didn't make it to all the famous monuments but we are happy you could join us for a little look around Washington DC!
Do you have a favorite Monument in Washington DC?
Happy Tuesday Blog Hop this week!
