 Daddy's Girl

It's nice to be Daddy's girl, 

 the center of his whole world.

 He's always there for this little pup

Whenever I'm tired, Daddy picks me up. 

If I give him my sad eyes and act really sweet,

chances are good he'll give me a treat! 

I'd do anything for my dear Dad,

 He's an expert at making me glad.

Thankful Brothers

 

Happy thankful week, day two! We let the girls go first yesterday but today it's the boys turn! So here we go! I have to say, I have LOVED having the peeps around so much in 2020.  I don't think we have spent a night apart since last January except when Sunny came home!!

This has been a crazy year for sure and I don't know where I would be if it wasn't for Dr. R, my vet and Dr. B, my eye dogtur. I am so very thankful my eyes are all better and my allergies are under control!!

Jakey is right, life is very good indeed!

Thankful Sisters

 

This week, in the US, we celebrate Thanksgiving. This year has been nutso crazy for the humans, but us pups have lots of reasons to be thankful. Today, the girls are here to tell you what we are most thankful for and tomorrow, the boys will get their turn. Before we get started though, we want say how thankful we are for all of our friends both old and new.  Blogville is such a special place and we are very thankful to call all of you friends!

 

 I am thankful for all the walkies we have gotten this year. With our pawrents sticking close to home, we have been able to get out and explore places like the Humboldt Botanical Gardens a lot more often than usual! I sure hope these walkies continue into next year!

Well Rosy, I am so very thankful to have found such a fun pack to call my own this year(I am even learning to like Arty's face). We have the best pawrents ever. I mean, where else could I get Greenies every other night of the week!

Nature Walk Friday

  

 Arty here today to tell you about my recent hike along the Elk River Trail located about 4 miles from our house. It runs along the, you guessed it, Elk River.

 

 

 

The first part of the trail is paved, so Mama's feet didn't get muddy. As for me, well who wants to stay on the pavement when all the good smells are off to the side...am I right??

 

 

 As we started our walk, we were surrounded by lovely redwoods and fir trees. Sometimes, the forest opened up and we could see lots of blue skies....

 

 

 

 

 We walked a little bit further and were surrounded by trees, with only sunbeams shining through the dark forest to keep us company!

 

 

 

 

 We took a little detour and found a bench by the river where I could 

sit and listen to the water...

 

 

 After a storm earlier this week, leaves blanketed the ground and even the river had a layer of leaves!

 

 

Some of the leaves were gigantic!
 

 

 

 Almost as big as me!!

 

The forest is always so very peaceful and interesting

...It's not my ocean, but it's probably my next favorite place to be!

Thankful for Howliday Decorations

 

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Today we are thankful for all the fun Howliday decorations! First, we are especially thankful to Miss Ann, over at Zoolatry! Didn't she do a great job howlidazing our blog page?! 

 

 

 

 Mama is also getting things around the house ready for the Howlidays.  Another travel advisory is keeping us close to home this year and Mama has taken this as permission to make our house look like the North Pole.

What a year 2020 has been!

For us dogs, cats, birds and other human owning animals it's actually been pretty great! Our humans stayed home with us most of the year and the days of going to work or vacations without us were gone. Best year ever, right??

 

 

 

Well Jakey, I heard Mama telling Daddy 2020 hasn't been quite as happy for humans as it has been for us. It seems friends of Mama and Daddy have been really sick from this COVID thing and some have even gone to the Bridge! OMD, that's not even mentioning all the US pawlitical stress! I think humans may need an extra dose of Howliday Cheer this year!

 

 

 

 You know what cheers up humans, Boyz??

Rainbows and Sunnycorns on Nature Friday

The elusive Sunnycorn here today to show you that, even though it is Rosy's favorite part of Autumn, there are colorful, springlike things happening here in Northy North California!
 

 

 

 The other morning, after an evening of steady rain(Mama says it does that A LOT this time of year), we went outside for our morning walkies and saw this beautiful rainbow!!

 

 

 

 Actually,  Rosy says it is a DOUBLE rainbow.

How cool is that???
