Thankful for Mountainview RV Park

As you might have realized, I am a little bit of an introvert. When the pawrents go out exploring in JeeJee(our Jeep), I prefer they take Rosy along and let me catch up on my sleep.  However, I do enjoy a nice walk around the RV park 2 or 3 times a day. I have to say, the walks were beautiful during our last stay at Mountainview RV Park.

Check out the beautiful green hills behind the  RV's on this side of the park!

Here is a closer view

The views, even when just sitting outside CeCe, were gorgeous.

This was Mama's most favorite view.

Let's give them a close up of that view Mama

Isn't it just beautiful??

You may notice the big fluffy,  or even dark clouds in some of the pictures Mama took all through out weekend in the Creede area. It was interesting, it rained every day during the afternoon and evening but it was cool and sunny every morning.

Besides having great views, the RV park has wonderful trails down to the Rio Grande River, lots of beautiful artwork and some cool cabins people can stay in.

They also have beautiful wildflower plant beds at most campsites!

Like Rosy said about Creede, we didn't get to see so much of what we wanted to see in the RV park  either and hope to come back and spend more time at this beautiful place!

Mama made a little video too!

Backyard Wildlife Wednesday

Today, on Backyard Wildlife Wednesday, I wanted to show you some fun footage TC caught of two animals who don't get along playing at the fountain. We are pretty sure one of them isn't aware that the other has been visiting the fountain. On the other hand, we think one of them just might be visiting because the other lives there....

Curious???
You'll have to watch and see......

Travel Tuesday - Creede, Colorado

Happy Travel Tuesday! Today, we are going to show you around Creede, a small town nestled in the San Juan Mountain Range(part of the Rocky Mountains), in Southwestern Colorado.

When I say nestled, I mean it is actually in between two big mountains.

Do you know what one of the coolest things I saw was?

The fire station was actually IN the mountain!

Creede was originally a silver mining town back in the mid 1800's. After the silver boom ended, Creede continued to mine Zinc and lead.

Now, it doesn't do much mining but is mostly a cute tourist town for people to visit.

I asked a local for a recommendation for the best place to eat lunch...

A short walk and a few photo shoots later....

We found the The Best Little DogHouse in Creede!

I liked it because there were a ton of good smells...

The pawrents liked it because there food was yummy!
It's amazing what a good recommendation can do, right??

I had a great time in the town of Creede and can't wait to visit again!

Here is a short video of our Creede visit

A Pawfect Weekend
by Rosy

Mountains that rise way up to the sky,
Green valleys below, looking emerald to my eyes.
Infinite walkies along pretty trails,
I was so happy, see my wiggly tail?

Daddy and Mama and Me in the car,
took scenic rides that seemed very far.
We stopped and had lunch when Daddy got hungry
at a wonderful place that was pet friendly!

Sunny relaxed, and did really well,
No fights were had, and that sure was swell.
She doesn't like a whole bunch of schmoozing,
So she stayed in CeCe and caught up on her snoozing!

What a pawfect weekend and Birthday I had,
Everyone was happy and no one was sad.
"I'm so lucky", I thought on the drive back,
To be part of such a most wonderful Pack!!

Happy Birthday Rosy

Happy Birthday Rosy!

To commemorate her 7th year on earth, here are the top 7(of the 7 million) things that we love about our Rosy Girl.

7.  Every morning she makes us smile with her snuggly wake up call.

6. Her longer than long tongue. How could you not love long tongue, Rosy kisses

5. Her obsession with  her Daddy every weekend. She keeps her eye on him all day waiting for their special walkie time.

4. Evening snuggle sessions on the couch after Sunny goes to bed.

3. Her impromptu dance/kickie sessions she does when she's feeling playful(often accompanied by emptying her toy box).

2. Her love of the outdoors. Rosy would stay in the backyard all day if we let her (unless it's raining of  course).

and the top thing we think of when we think of Rosy?

1. Her endless patience with her sister. Without this patience, and her ability to give Sunny 2nd (3rd, 4th et al) chances, we wouldn't be the  happy pack we are today.

Happy Seventh Birthday Rosy, thanks so much for being such a special and happy girl!

Botanical Gardens Birthday Flowers

Welcome to Nature Friday, where we get to meet new friends and maybe share a picture or two of what nature looks like around Blogville. This week, we are going to look at what Summer looks like at the ABQ BioPark Botanical Gardens.

There are so many beautiful flowers of every color of the rainbow blooming right now. Above is one of Mama's favorite wildflowers, the blanket flower. These can be found everywhere during the Spring in Central Texas. The only place Mama has found them here is the Botanical Garden.

Here is some pretty pink Bee Balm

Another one of Mama's favorite,  Lantana

Here are a couple of Hollyhock flowers. The first year we lived here, we had a couple of Hollyhock plants in the front yard. They haven't bloomed since then though, Mama thinks they may have gotten some kind of bugs.

Blech...I hate bugs!
(Unlike my silly sister who has been known to eat them)
Anyway...back to the flowers

This is Prairie Night Bergamot, which is also in the Bee Balm family.

Here is a pretty Coneflower

and some lacy Oak Leaf Hydrangea

Last, but not least is a nice Rosy Rose for my birthday.
 Thanks Mama!!

I hope you enjoyed the Summer flowers at the Botanical Garden, aren't they colorful?

We are "disconnecting" today through Tuesday while we are glamping in CeCe. Mama has some posts scheduled, but we won't be around to comment again until next Wednesday.

We sure hope you all get out to see some nature this weekend!
