Welcome to Nature Friday, where we get to meet new friends and maybe share a picture or two of what nature looks like around Blogville. This week on Nature Friday we are wrapping up Shark Week with a some video Mama took on a recent visit to the ABQ Aquarium. My favorite part of the video are the sharks!!
It's nice to swim with the sharks....
....without actually having to get wet!
Here is the first video Mama has of some of the fish life...
I suppose it is pretty cool to be a shark, but....
...my favorite part of the videos are the jellyfish
I like the way the float through the water!
Here is the second video Mama took that include some jellies!
Of course you can also watch the videos over on our YouTube Channel HERE
Did you see the otters?? Mama has a TON of additional otter footage that we'll feature soon!
Thanks so much for joining us as we celebrated sharks and the underwater world. We hope you get out this weekend to see some nature!
Show
us your nature! It can be flowers, your current weather, a scene out of
your window, or maybe a picture from a vacation, walk or other journey!
Any kind of nature picture will do! If you don't see a link below,

ReplyDeleteOh yes, I spotted the otters, and the angel fish and the rays and sharks.... oooohhhhhh Loved it!!! I am annoyed that my own aquarium posts are going to be so far behind these ones; but as a compensation, I put a picture of a skate (the Brit version of a ray) as the thumbnail for today's post about foxes... (it was not because I was posting in the minor hours of the night...😳) hugs and wags YAM-aunty xxx
Ooh what a wonderful cornucopia of marine life. Gail says it's better to swim with sharks without actually having to get eaten by them but I think she is just perpetuating negative stereotypes of these magnificent beasts!
ReplyDeleteHappy Nature Friday!
Toodle-oo!

We loved the videos. Life in the water is so colorful and beautiful. I love the jellies too, Rosy, and the seahorses!
ReplyDeleteOtters are super cool. Mom says diving is like being in a real life aquarium and all the pretty colored fish are so fun to see. Jellyfish are kind of weird, but quite interesting.
ReplyDeletethe otters are my favorite part of the aquarium.. like furry dogs but water dogs. ha ha. love all the colorful colors in both video, the colors of the fish. and some fish are really odd. LOVE the seahorse. the jellies are beautiful in videos but not at our beaches.. I have seen thousands of them in the water, as far as you can see.. guess what oh great adorable sharks. If you get stung by a jelly, or your mama does, just pee on the sting. that is what they do when someone is stung, or carry a bottle of amonia to treat the sting
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh Nieces what a fun post. Sunny my favorite way to swim with sharks is from A F A R!
ReplyDeleteRosy I love otters. When we go to our Zoo the river otters are show stoppers. Such fun critters
Hugs Aunty C
You girls are the cutest sharks we've ever seen. We loved watching those videos and agree that jelly fish are fun to watch. One of them looked like it was wearing a petticoat.
ReplyDeleteOona: "Ooh, a big aquarium! Oona wonders if she could pull the temperature sensor out of the water ..."
ReplyDeleteLulu: "I don't think the aquarium staff would let you do that."
Oona: "OONA WOULD LIKE TO SEE THEM TRY TO STOP HER!!!"
Nice shark outfits - and I love the jelly fish (hate swimming with them - it's quite creepy) but they are beautiful to look at.
ReplyDeleteWhat cool photos and videos! The ocean is amazing. Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteYou are a very cute shark and the one I most prefer
ReplyDeleteLove the sharks and jellyfish! Otters are one of my favorite animals. Can't wait to your pics of them! :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome week of "water wonders" you've both shared ... we thank you, and have to add that
ReplyDeleteyou both are the cutest Sharkettes of all!
We all don't know whether to be disappointed or relieved that the sharks didn't gobble up the other fish. Those sting rays might have put up a fight! XOX Xena and Chia
