Welcome to Nature Friday where we get to meet new friends and share a picture or two of what nature looks like around Blogville. With the warmer weather moving in, Mama had the chance to see some critters enjoying the sunshine at the Botanical Gardens during her last visit.

The Wood Ducks are swimming in the ponds.

Here are a couple of American Widgeons looking for snacks.....

.......Here I am singing them
"Iiiiiiii ain't got no snaaaaackies"
song. Hint, hint Mama!

Back to the critters.....here is a Canadian goose....

It was even warm enough for the turtles to come out and sun themselves!

We'll wrap things up with a look at a pair of Wood Ducks taking a stroll in between swims!

Thanks for stopping by today and joining us for a look at just some of the critters at the Botanical Gardens. It is nice to see everything and every critter enjoying the first days of our early Spring!
We hope all our friends get to enjoy some nature this weekend!

Show us your nature! It can be flowers, your current weather, a scene out of your window, or maybe a picture from a vacation, walk or other journey! Any kind of nature picture will do! If you don't see a link below, click HERE to go to our Hoppity Page.

ReplyDeleteJava Bean: "Ayyy, those ducks seem awfully mobile for being made of wood. Are they some kind of duck golems?"
ReplyDeleteLulu: "Where did you learn about golems?!"
Java Bean: "I read over Dada's shoulder sometimes."
Those are very nice ducks 2/3 of us would like to hunt. Tigris, Styx and Lanie too
