Today, we wanted to give you a head's up about some travel Mama has been doing "behind the scenes"(before we left for our camping trip).
Our Grandaddy (Mama's Daddy) is having problems remembering things and needs some extra help, so Mama took a trip to Texas to see what she could do.
She left us alone with Daddy....

Sunny was NOT amused to have her routine disturbed. She showed her displeasure by playing the, "no treats until you take your medicine" stand off game with Daddy. He didn't give in though, and eventually Sunny got used to Mama being gone for 87 years (or maybe 10 days).
(and she took her meds from Daddy like a good girl most days)

Mama is back home now but she warned us that she will be taking shorter trips to help Grandaddy, and may need to leave us alone with Daddy again. There has also been talk about another longer trip to Texas in the next couple of weeks. Rumor has it that Daddy is going to go with her and we may get to go too.

Me?? Although I did miss Mama, I LOVE having Daddy in charge! He took me for evening walkies almost every night and I even got TWO walkies on the weekends! I saw sooooo many kitties and bunnies!! I was one Happy Lhasa Girlie!

Paws Crossed!

ReplyDeleteWell, that is a bittersweet postie today Rosy... I quite understand why your mama has to take temporary leave breaks. Grand-daddies are impawtant peeps and taking care of them is too. I know that you gals will get used to this change to routines and I wish efurrybuddy all the best as this period of life is negotiated... hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
It's so hard when the people that we love most can't remember things. We hope you girls get to go to Texas for a visit too.
ReplyDeleteWith all good wishes for Grand-Daddy, a very important person in your family life, especially right now. If you travel to Texas with your pawrents, share your lovely sunflower with him ... it may brighten his days a little bit.
ReplyDeleteIt is hard with older parents. Gramma needs a lot of help these days. Luckily she is just half an hour from us and Mom's brother is five minutes from her. Still it takes a lot of people to manage her with her staying in her own home. It is hard emotionally for mom and probably for your mom too. A parent was always the one looked up to for everything and now the tables are turned.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear your Grandaddy isn't doing well. You girls were good for our daddy (eventually, Sunny) and my paws are crossed for all of you during this difficult time.
ReplyDeletePrayers for granddaddy. Hard to see them start to fail.
ReplyDeleteYou two are so adorable.
Tell mom I love her nails. Beautiful.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches to the pups and my very best to your wonderful peeps. ♥
So sorry to hear about your Grandaddy, we know about how hard this is and will be. I hope you both get to go to visit with them, maybe a road trip will be in the future.. Prayers for all of you...
