Today we want to introduce you to our friend Remy!
Remy is passing through the area from his breeding grounds up as far north as Alaska back to his home in Mexico!
Remy is a Rufous Hummingbird and although he is our friend, the Rufus Hummingbird is not very friendly to the rest of the hummingbird community. The Rufous maybe one of the smallest hummingbirds, but are also known to be the most aggressive when defending their territory (and feeders).
He might be feisty, but he sure is pretty!!
and shiny yellow/orange neck!

I have to say, Remy isn't as silly as some of the birdies we've met!
