Hi Everybody!! Today I have a tail about a Texas
(soon to be) Legend!! Meet Major Danger McCoy, he is a new furr-kidd to one of Mommy's friends at church. He is an 8 week old Shorkie (part Yorkie/Part Shih Tzu) named after Major Applewhite AND Colt McCoy...with a bit of danger thrown in!! Major takes his name very seriously and is a Texas UT quarterback at heart.
Recently he decided to start leaping from humans in single bounds. He didn't realize that he was only FOUR POUNDS!! He thought (and still thinks) he is a star quarterback for a Big 12 football team!!! Anyway, he bounded the wrong way on his pingers and got big boo boos! The result, was a trip to the vet where he got a nice new cast and bragging rights to his first official injury!!
Then he got home where his Mommy decided that his "manly" cast needed some dressing up. So here he is in a "pretty purple cast with a PINK butterfly"....Poor Major, he SO didn't want the purple thing on his paw, so he tried to chew it off...the result...the CONE OF SHAME (ooooooooooo)...Not any cone of shame, but one that his Mommy had bedazzled and bejeweled...
Needless to say, Major won't be going out of the house or doing any leaping until he is ALL BETTER...
From Mom: Please keep Major in your thoughts and prayers, the vet doesn't want to do surgery while he is so young. We are hoping and praying that his bones will mend correctly on their own with the splint in place.
Although the cone of shame is BEAUTIFUL, there is also now a neck brace type of thing that keeps puppies from chewing on themselves. Have you ever used one of those?
ReplyDeleteand BTW, sometimes a stick is just a stick! :)
Cone and cast...poor baby. I wouldn't like it

Awe, poor major.....my mum wants to hug him and make him all better and me too...Sharkie not so much, he just wants to eat the cast

Mom is praying for poor Major, and she thinks he looks really pretty...
ReplyDeleteI think that his Mom needs to get a SISTER to dress up with pretty girlie butterflies, and bedazzles, and leave the poor DUDE alone when he is already so miserable! BG
