A Walk in the Mountains

A couple of weeks ago the pawrents put me in JeeJee the Jeep and we went for a ride. I was a little worried maybe I was going to the Vet, but I was pleasantly surprised when Daddy said we were going for a hike in the Sandia Mountains! He said temperatures are 20-30 degrees cooler in the mountains, making is nicer for long hikes!

For some reason, Mama came along too.
She always makes me wear my harness during our hikes. I made sure she knew I was NOT happy by giving her an extra long raspberry!

I forgot all about the silly harness once we hit the trail!

The views and smells were amazing!

We saw a bunch of greenery...

The ponderosa trees were everywhere. The pawrents like to smell their bark up close,
the vanilla scent is heavenly.

We had so much fun exploring...

There were nice meadows....

Pretty trees and blue skies...

and lots of lizards to chase!!

Mama made a short video of our hike:

As always, feel free to visit our YouTube Channel HERE

I think the Sandia Mountain hiking trails might be my new happy place and I bet we go back
for more hikes this summer!

We are joining Sandee at Comedy Plus for the
Happy Tuesday Blog Hop this week!

  5. That sounds like fun except for the lizards. Mom would not go there if we saw one. She is very afraid of any type of reptiles, even frogs. It looks like a pretty place to go for walks.

  10. Nice to have such an enjoyable and cool hike. Timber is not happy - his new harness is coming this week. He can't wear his Gentle Leader any more because it makes callouses on his face so he is going to have to wear a no-pull harness. This will be the second one Mom is trying - she hopes this one fits better.

    Woos - Misty and Timber

  13. Cooler temps and lizards to chase. Sounds like a wonderful place to me! XOX Xena Pee Ess: I don't like having to be on a leash on a walk, but I really fight it when she Mommy puts the leash on my collar instead of putting the harness on me.
