Welcome to Nature Friday, where we get to meet new friends and share a picture or two of what nature looks like around Blogville. This week I thought it would be nice to show you some of the flowers we see during our neighborhood walkies.

Here we have an dwarf purple smoke bush, the fuzzy flowers do look a little bit like smoke, don't you think?

We found this beautimous deep red rosy rose bush with a bunch of blooms.

The Challa Cactus is blooming too.

Check out the dark pink blooms with the bright yellow centers!

The prickly pear cactus are also blooming, their blooms are bright yellow with red middles and then Mother Nature layered a bright yellow center!

In other news (and nature) I have "made friends" with the neighbor kitty.

He is a nice looking Ginger boy that kind of reminds me of Aunty C's nephew, Rocky.

Let's wrap up this edition of Nature Friday with a pretty pink rose from the bush Daddy planted earlier this Spring!

We hope you enjoyed our little walkie. We sure hope you all get out this weekend and find some nature!

Show us your nature! It can be flowers, your current weather, a scene out of your window, or maybe a picture from a vacation, walk or other journey! Any kind of nature picture will do! If you don't see a link below, click HERE to go to our Hoppity Page.
thats nice to be friend with the kitty... we animals are better in that than humans ;O))

ReplyDeleteOh yes, Rosy, that was a wonderfurs round up of blooms for Friday! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
What fun plants you have in your neighborhood. We don't have anything like them around our area. Be careful with cats, they can get mean. Our cat Bert used to punch and attack us if we bothered him too much.
ReplyDeleteI want that purple smoke. gorgeous, all the flowers are amazing and I have always liked cactus flowers. there are really pretty. yay for you Rosy and the Rocky lookalike. If I were going to let a cat have me, it would be a ginger
ReplyDeleteYou found lots of beautiful flowers to show us, Rosy.
ReplyDeleteNiece Rosy what a lovely stroll thru your neighborhood. AC loves the cacti a LOT...those are the look don't smell blooms.

DeleteLove that Smoke Bush
ReplyDeleteI like roses--have some here!--but like those others that look exotic to me, too. As a guess...you're in California? Arizona? I was last out there about fifty years ago.
ReplyDeleteJust a thought...I do weekly Petfinder Photo Contest posts. I'm trying to get into the habit of sharing them on Feline Friday so they can be shared farther and wider. More shares tend to mean more adoptions! So, every Tuesday, about half a dozen of the cutest pictures of adoptable animals in the Eastern States. Maybe you could do something similar in the Western States?

Thanks for taking us along on your walk pretty Rosy, it was fun!
ReplyDeleteOur Mom really liked the pink cactus flowers the best, but we would all stay away from them. Of course, I like the rosy roses best, cause you're my friend, Rosy! XOX Xena
ReplyDeleteSo many prety flowers on your walkie, Rosy. We love the Challa Cactus and have never seen one before - so unique.

Lulu: "Our Dada loves those cactus flowers! He claims that is why he planted them in the rock area out front, but I think he just likes all the thorns ..."
ReplyDeleteThese are all such beautiful flowers and I do hope you continue to be friendly with the neighborhood cat. Thank you for linking up with Feline Friday.
ReplyDeleteDoes The ginger cat know you are friends? Mr T never gave any k9s (even sweet ones) the benefit of the doubt.
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking us on a lovely walkie around your neighborhood. It's been a good year for blooming cactus after all that rain we received last month. But now summer is in full swing. 'Only' 99 days until autumn arrives. We were so busy all week long we didn't get a chance to share any slices of nature. Hopefully my Mum will be better this coming week when we're sweltering.
