Today, as part of Sugar and Kol's Tasty Tuesday, I am going to show you the correct way to eat your kibbles.
First, you spread your kibble liberally across your dining area. In my case, that includes both the kitchen AND the dining room.
I do this by using my paw in a scooping motion like you see above....it is also important to make LOTS of noise while you do this....it really makes the food taste better (you may want to have your humans turn the TV up if they are enjoying their evening shows).
Next, eat the kibble at your leisure off of the floor...BUT, just to make things more interesting, make sure that you eat out of the bowl when your humans walk into the eating area. It is always good to keep them guessing, right??
Finally, finish up with a nice drink of fresh cold water!
Make sure you leave a few pieces of kibble around for your humans....you know, so you can giggle when they step on them with their bare feetsies in the middle of the night.
Darn Buddy... you have GRRRREAT technique... BUTT we were SURE you would show your Pumpkin Crunch... and your face when you were finished... We have ALWAYS loved That!!!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like it works great, especially the peep bare feet in the middle of the night pawt! I wish I could eat all proper like that, but if I tried it, all my packmates would gobble up the food before I could even find it (since I'm 98% blind). They're mean like that!!!
ReplyDeleteI used to do that - leaving bits of kibble everywhere. I even used to bring some up into bed with me. But then Abby started eating the kibble I had spread out, so I tend to keep it in the bowl more now. Which is too bad, because I really like the HBO words from Mom when she stepped on multiple pieces of kibble in her bare feetsies (or even better, when she had boots on and ground it into the carpet...)!

Yum Yum, you've perfected my favorite technique! - great tips about leaving some out for the humans, you can't be the only one having fun!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have it all planned. Out to the T. Nothing gets by you huh??

Mabel Lou has started doing this in her old age.
ReplyDeleteHa! You read our mind Bilbo, we were just thinking it must be lots of fun when they step on them with their bare feets!
ReplyDeleteWe will be certain to try your very creative way of eating kibble soon.

Bare feet in the middle of the night BOL funny. My Peeps chucks mine up in the air and I catch them. Great game. Have a terrific Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
But how do you keep your brothers and sister from eating all your dinner?
ReplyDeleteWith 4 food motivated dogs in this house, a piece of kibble never gets close to the 5 second rule. They even lick each others bowls when they are done to make sure not a morsel is missed.
ReplyDeleteWow, I don't think I've ever seen a dog with this type of eating method! XD Niles just inhales her food so I'm always shocked at dogs that don't immediately devour theirs.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm.......now that sounds all to familiar! Have you been giving my Huskies lessons? Happens in our house quite often!

Sounds like a good way to exercise while you eat.
ReplyDeleteGood job Bilbo. We like to spread out our kibble sometimes too. We thinks it taste better on the carpet or floor. Of course we always eat from the bowl when mama is watching so she won't know which one of us did it.

So that's how you do it and just think I've been doing it all wrong.
ReplyDeleteAroo to you,

Actually, they say that scattering food on the floor is good for senior dogs and makes them use their noses more to eat. It's supposed to help keep you from getting canine cognitive disorder!

LOL My Tucker used to do that and it drove me crazy. Those little bits are hard on human feet!
ReplyDeleteCan I come over and help you with that?!?!? What does everypup do when you do that?!?! I would want to HELP!!!
