Today, on Nature Friday, I want to share a fun stop we made during my weekend trip to the coast a couple of weeks ago!
It all started on our ride down the coast on Friday. You see, I found this very cool lighthouse for Mama! Unfortunately, it was a bit rainy outside and Mama's camera kept getting wet.
Mama took a few pictures of the stormy lighthouse and then we hopped back in the car and headed back to the car to finish our trip.
Imagine my surprise when we were driving home and saw this...
It is the SAME lighthouse surrounded by sunshine, along with lots and lots of yellow flowers!!!
All the rain in California has really helped all the Spring wildflowers pop up!
This is the Pigeon Point Lighthouse.
It's the tallest lighthouse on the West Coast and was built back in the late 1800s! It even has a hostel attached where people can stay! You can read more about Pigeon Point Lighthouse HERE
For some reason, doggies aren't allowed in the park closest to the lighthouse. So, while Mama took pictures of the lighthouse, Daddy and I took a walk and stretched our legs.
I stopped to smell the flowers(and peemail) along the way.
I even found a pink beach flower!!
It was so nice to see what the lighthouse looked like in the sunshine with all the yellow flowers around it.
I hope your weekend is full of sunshine and color!!
Show
us your nature! It can be flowers, your current weather, a scene out of your window, or maybe a
picture from a walk! Any kind of nature picture will do! If you don't see a link below, click HERE
