Hi all, welcome to my new backyard! Well, I guess I share it with Sunny and Jakey but it is moooosssstly mine! Today, I'll be giving you a little tour so you can see the lay of the land. There is so much to share about this yard that I'm sure there will be many more installments to come!
As you can see, I am standing by Sunny's waterfall. I think it is a little scary, but Sunny just loves it and I know she'll be back in another post to share more about it!
Here I am under one of our apple trees. The previous owner, Sandy the Golden Doodle, says apples really to fall from this tree! She also said something about them being nommy! I'm not suppose to tell her pawrents about that so.....
I'll just show you all the buds on the tree...
...and an apple bloom close up!
Nothing about Sandy and the nommy apples!
I really thought we weren't have to worry about Easter ears or Easter bouncy head things...but Mama insisted
(and I was paid well)
Here is the other apple tree, this one is a crab apple tree and Sandy mentioned that it is yet to produce any nommy apples!
Mama was SOOOO happy to see there are two Forsythia bushes in the backyard! In the Ice Age, when she was young and lived in New Jersey, she could always tell Spring had arrived when she saw these pretty yellow blooms!
She smiled even bigger when she saw that we have THREE lilac bushes!!!
They are just now starting to bloom, but I'm sure the house will be filled with the pretty smelling flowers soon!
OK Mama, this is ridiculous! I am not a bunny, I am a BUNNY HUNTRESS!!
You are lucky you have those nommy
treats in your pocket....
Mama says one of the good things about me turning from hunting birdies to hunting bunnies is I don't chase the cute little quails that live in our backyard!
Mama is a bit obsessed with them. This is Big Quin, the leader of the Quail pack. He and his lady friend run around our bird feeder area collecting morning and evening meals!
That's right, the birds have their own little habitat in our backyard. But, as I mentioned, we don't bother them much because you know,
BUNNIES!!!!
We also have a hummingbird that has come to visit. Mama doesn't have any pictures of him yet, but you can bet your bippy you'll get a look at them this Summer!
I hope you enjoyed this little tour. There is so much more to show you, but don't worry, you'll be seeing plenty of backyard fun in the months and years to come!
OH,
and be sure to stop back Monday...Mama might have ummm, been real busy
and temporarily forgotten about some Sunny's BIG 02. As Big Sister, I reminded Mama and we did some shopping on the down low
yesterday and will be surprising Sunny with a pawty!!!

ReplyDeleteMy word but that is a very fine back yard you have moved into, Rosy... though pawhaps you might have preferred that the dressups box had somehow gone astray!!! Still, payment is payment and you do model so well!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

Oh Rosy, we have been so looking forward to getting a tour of your new backyard, and Part 1 did not disappoint. A water feature! Apple blossom and other lovely, colourful blooms! Even better, a special place for birdies. And BUNNIES! (Remember,a bunny is not just for Easter..)
ReplyDeleteyour sunny is very brave to be close to that waterfall... we would run like da wind :O)))
ReplyDeleteYour back yard is just gorgeous with the waterfall and all of the beautiful blooming trees! Lilacs are one of our favorites.
ReplyDeletenow we all know the closet full of doggy clothing was packed and moved and moved again and is safe where you are. you look sooooo cute in all the photos. Beau would ignore the water fall too. the flowers and trees are just gorgeous.. your back yard is fantasical! perfect for peopel and pups. Tell Mama the seeds in apples are poison so when the apple start to fall she will need to do fruit patrol every time you go out. yesterday I found out why beau has been having upset tummy. I found almost 40 tiny avocadas on the ground because I caught him eating them. the squirrels are knocking down fruit the size of marbles and he was eating them. they make for a fine mess and aching tummy.
ReplyDeleteNiece Rosy per chance is CeCe for rent as a seasonal B&B? I would pay big bucks to stay there so I could purrsonally tour your absolutely out of this world gorgeous yard and all that landscaping. AUNTY IS IN AWE
ReplyDeleteHUGS YOUR AUNTY CECILIA
You sure have a great backyard, Rosy. Sorry to see you had to wear lots of different headgear, but it's good to know you were paid well. We can't wait to hear more about your new yard.
ReplyDeleteMe thinks we would have "bought the back yard" no matter what house came with it !!!
ReplyDeleteLove your backyard and love those Easter ears. So cute.
ReplyDeleteHave a woof woof day and weekend. My best to your wonderful peeps. ♥

Your yard looks great! Have a happy Easter weekend!
ReplyDeleteWow! You sure have some amazing things in your new yard! We can't wait to see more! Hope you have a happy Easter.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the tour. I love the apple tree and can't wait to see what it produces
ReplyDeleteHi Rosy! Fruit falling from trees? We didn't know about that. I, Xena, love apples. I'll be on the lookout for it, now, though! We'll be back Monday to celebrate with Sunny.
ReplyDeleteYour backyard is wonderful. We don't see bunnies around our place. Lady gave us a stern talking to about if we did see one, especially this weekend, that we are not to kill it. Even though it may be breaking into homes, leaving chocolate (aka poison to pups), we are to leave it and the chipmunks, squirrels, raccoon etc. etc. alone. Sigh! Happy Easter weekend, Lee and Phod
ReplyDeleteCrab apples may not be nommie for doggos, Rosy, but deer love them ! They came into our back yard last fall just to eat them !
ReplyDeleteWhat a bloody nice backyard
ReplyDeleteLulu: "Happy Easter to all of you! Wow, what a yard! I'm not sure what I would go after first, the bunnies or the birds."
ReplyDeleteCharlee: "Stick to the bunnies, Lulu, and leave the birds to us professionals."
What an amazing backyard! We can't wait to see pics of all the critters that will share the space.
