Howdy, and thanks for stopping by Nature Friday, where we can meet some new friends and share a picture or two of what our nature looks like!
This week, here in the High Desert of New Mexico, we got some SNOW!!
Of course I went out and played in it right away. Just look at all the little snow flakes on my moozle!
Here is me tasting some snowflakes...I told my friend Xena I would tell her how they tasted.
Hey Xena, they taste like icy cubes, but smaller!
It was pretty wet snow, so it stuck to everything!
It was cool to see all the snow flakes piled on top of each other.
Here is another example of snowflakes hanging out together.
The snow looked cool on the Yucca too!
Here is some snow one of the leftover roses in the front yard....
...and on its leaves!!!
Although we only had a dusting, I still loved playing in the snow!
Those weather people said we are in for a cold and wet couple of months. I don't mind the cold, but I sure hope the wet is in the form of snow!!
What about you, are you getting a lot of snow so far this Winter?
Show us your nature! It can be flowers, your current weather, a scene out of your window, or maybe a picture from a vacation, walk or other journey! Any kind of nature picture will do! If you don't see a link below, click HERE to go to our Hoppity Page.
Rosy, we are so envious of your dusting of snow. Here we are just getting rain, rain and more rain.
ReplyDeleteToodle-oo!
Nobby.
Your snow is beautiful, Rosy, and we hope you get more - lots more!
ReplyDeleteWe are happy we should get 3-6 inches by tomorrow morning. That isn't much in a normal Minnesota winter, but this year we will be super grateful for it. So happy you guys get so have some snow and experience the snowflakes.

ReplyDeleteJava Bean: "Ayyy, Rosy, our Dada says you look like Bob and Doug McKenzie eh?"
ReplyDeleteChaplin: "Who are Bob and Doug McKenzie?"
Java Bean: "No sé. Amigos of his from Canada, maybe?"
Niece Rosy what an adorable winter outfit. Please tell mom I am in awe of the close up of the snowflake. Hugs Aunty C
ReplyDeleteYou look darn cute out in the snow sweet Rosy! Y'all have a fun weekend.
ReplyDeleteYou look so cute in your winter gear, Rosy. We're way below our average snow fall again this year, but we did get about 6 inches last Sunday.
ReplyDeletedesert snow rocks
ReplyDeleteRosie our teensy tiny bit of snow just got turned into mud on top of all the rain. Yours looks very pretty, light, almost fizzy. You look well prepared in your winter hat.
ReplyDeleteRosie - we got 6 inches of snow last week. It would have been great news, but the temps have plummeted to where even we huskies don't like to be out there very long. We do hope for warmup soon but not too warm, just enought to make it tolerable and leave our snow:)
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
We always think of New Mexico as hot and not snowy. The flakes look perfect on you Rosy. We got at least 8 inches yesterday. Stay warm. Lee and Phod
ReplyDeleteHi Rosy! Sorry I'm so late getting to this. It snowed here today, but I forgot to taste the snow. Thanks for telling me what it tastes like. Actually, I got too busy sniffing out all the little critters where they had scurried to escape the snow. I could have done that a lot longer, but it was cold and Mommy called me in. XOX Xena
