Welcome to Nature Friday, where we get to meet new friends and share a picture or two of what nature looks like around Blogville. Here in New Mexico, the only colors we seem to see this month are browns, tans and grays with a sprinkle of dull green. Of course, we do have pretty blue skies. Although I wish the skies would turn gray and snow on us.
Anyways, all the lack of color has Mama day dreaming of the pretty scenery we had in Northy North California....

There was so much green....

....and pretty Redwood trees lining the roads.

We got to see whales right from the beach...

There were LOTS of birdies to chase

...and Sea Doggies to bark at/with.

...and, of course, there were a bunch of Elks!

There were also a ton of pretty colors,

From dreamy sunrises

Hills filled with lupine flowers...

and the most beautiful Dahlia Flowers...

We do miss all the beauty of Northy North California but we don't miss all the rainy days and the having to drive a whole day just to go to a department store and back.
Plus, there were no squirrels to chase in our California backyard!
We sure hope everyone keeps warm this weekend and gets to see some Nature too...even if it is through your windows!

Show us your nature! It can be flowers, your current weather, a scene out of your window, or maybe a picture from a vacation, walk or other journey! Any kind of nature picture will do! If you don't see a link below, click HERE to go to our Hoppity Page.

ReplyDeleteEvery place has its charms and compensations, eh Rosy? I admit I am a bit nostalgic about seeing the regular dahlia updates your mama always brought us! But you have that wonderfurs waterfall and birdies as the compensation. All good! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

What beautiful memories of northern California. Most of the nature we're going to see this weekend is going to be in the form of endless snow!
ReplyDeleteLulu: "Our Dada is over here singing something about how all the leaves are brown and the skies are grey, but we're not sure what he's talking about ..."

ReplyDeleteNorthy north California does look beautiful, but no squirrels to chase is a deal breaker. Now we know why y'all moved! (If you move here, there's lots and lots of squirrels to chase!) XOX Your buddy, Xena
