When Mama and I went out for our walkies on Saturday you will never guess what I saw.....
A SQUIRREL!!!!

All of a sudden the string I keep attached to Mama got shorter....
REALLY MAMA??? You ARE NOT going to let me go get that squirrel???
There was a bunch of "blah, blah, blah...traffic, cars, stupid squirrel" and various HBO words coming from Mama...and I could tell by the way I COULD NOT MOVE....that Mama WAS NOT going to let me go after the squirrel....
"sigh"
Why is it that if the squirrels are in my backyard Mama is all like...GO GET THE SQUIRREL Dory, but everywhere else she is like NO DORY, do not get the squirrel....
Humans are so confusing, don't you think??
MOL Dory..your Mama was teasing you bless your heart. There you sat salivating and dreaming of BBQ squirrel and mama had you on a short string.

ReplyDeleteThat really is confusing. We have the same problem with rabbits. When there is a rabbit in our yard momma is all "where's the rabbit? go get the rabbit!" but if we see one on walkies she is "leave it!" What the heck?

We think your Mom had your best interests at heart - she really didn't want you to run out in the street after that silly squirrel. You don't want to get hurt because of a dumb squirrel.

Hoomans are very confused Dory, they can never make up their minds. But from our experience the squirrel would have just run up the nearest tree and yelled down taunts in their little squirrely voices. Maybe it's best you didn't give chase.
