Friday Morning we packed up our campsite at the Cloverdale/Healdsburg KOA and headed south! Our destination? The Santa Cruz/Monterey KOA!!
The ride seemed to take 87 hours!!
Oh Arty, it was only 5 hours or so, and we did stop and take a break for lunch!
Anyway...when we got to the campground, Daddy got CeCe ready and we did some sniff-axing!
That's a cross between sniffing and relaxing(in case you didn't know).
We actually used this campsite as sort of a hotel room. We spent the two full days we were here in two other locations. One we will be showing you this Nature Friday and the other we are saving for next Tuesday.
We did spend some time hanging out at the Campground though!
You wouldn't believe all the squirrels hanging around!!! One of the best activities about camping is the wildlife, right?? Well, we REALLY enjoyed squirrel watching.
Here is a little video of some morning squirrel watching we did!
You can also watch it HERE on YouTube
Another favorite activity of ours was "Strollin'" through the campground! Arty thinks he is King of the World when he gets to ride in his stroller!
Watch this and you can see for yourself!
You can also watch it HERE on YouTube
(To answer a few of your questions..Yes, this was Dory's and then Rosy's stroller. We bring it on most of Arty's walks now. He really enjoys walking, but sometimes we(Rosy and pawrents) want go farther than he can go, especially if it's warm outside. So instead of cutting the walk short, Arty just gets to go "strollin'" for the remainder of the walk)
The last night at the campground we got to have a CAMPFIRE!!
The temperatures were pretty chilly, and there was a breeze that made it feel cooler so it was nice to have a fire that would keep us warm while we sat outside!
We just had to watch out for the smoke! It seemed to follow us where ever we sat!!
There were even campfire snackies!! The pawrents had s'mores while we had our favorite snack, Greenies, in front of the campfire.
What a pawsome way to finish up a great camping trip!!
But this isn't the end of our tail, so to speak
(Teeheehee)
Stay tuned on Nature Friday to see the first of the fun places we went while we were staying along the Central California Coast!!!
We are joining Sandee at Comedy Plus for the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop this week!
that is da best travel report ever... oh how we wish we could travel too.... but we have to wait some weeks...
ReplyDelete"Sniff-axing". That's such a great word.
ReplyDeleteAnd we love the movies - especially the evocative squirrel hunting music!
Glad you had a fun time. I wouldn't tell Arty that the stroller is pink and pink is a girl thing or he might get upset, LOL!

ReplyDeleteYou are truly the king as you stroll along, Arty!
ReplyDeleteWell my darlings Aunty HiC says the CeCe is worth her weight in gold. OMDs the trips she makes possible for all and in high comfort. Dang squirrel was LUCKY x 87 you were confined by the walks of CeCe. I enjoyed both videos and as always the love that pops out with each photo
ReplyDeleteHugs Aunty
We wish Dad liked to camp, but that is a huge no! How dare that squirrel mock you. Did you tell him just wait til next time? We're happy y'all had a good camping trip. XOX Xena and Lucy
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had the perfect camp site with great views of those pesty squirrels. We can't wait to hear more about your adventures.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! Arty has his very own CeCe in that stroller!
ReplyDeleteYou two sure were having a big time, love your videos!
ReplyDeleteHow fun and I loved both videos. Arty is king for sure. Why not. Squirrels are evil. Our Angel Little Bit barked them up too and wanted to chase them. Adorable.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches all around and my best to your peeps. ♥
That was a fun stroll! We wish we would have thought about using a stroller way back when our patron Saint, Old Charisma was having trouble with arthritis. She hated being left behind when Miss Ginger and Joey dog went for walks.
ReplyDeleteToo bad you couldn't go chase that Squirrel!
I liked this post it made me smile
ReplyDeleteBoy! We sure miss camping when we see you guys having so furry much fun! THe Campground Squirrels are so cheeky and that Stroller is pawsome!
