Woodpecker. Mama calls him Woody, after another ancient
cartoon.

Did you notice what he was eating?? Yep....not wood, not bugs,
it's suet from the bird feeder.

ReplyDeleteOh I don't think so Rosy dear... woodpeckers peck the wood to get at grubs of insects - which are basically suet on the move! So if they can get suet without effort, perhaps what you and mama have done is provide the pecker equivalent of Maccas! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
We loved it when Woody ate our suet! Mom won't put it out in the summer. She's afraid it will melt all over the grass. Your colorful Woody is a cutie, just like you are, Rosy!

Sometimes we get a red belly woodpecker who comes around in winter. He looks a lot like the one in your video.
