Tropical Flowers on NF

Howdy effuryone! Welcome to Nature Friday, where we can meet some new friends and maybe share a picture or two of what nature looks like around Blogville.

Even though it is still chilly outside, Mama is pining for some warmer weather. Last week, she went to the Atrium at the ABQ Botanical Gardens to see what trawpical flowers she could find to help warm her up!

She found some pretty purply pink orchids....

 Some bromeliad....

and this cute little succulent with some water droplets....

Unlike Mama, we like the cooler weather and are hoping we get some more snow before Winter ends!

Let's see what else Mama found!

This pretty ivy wall, with a colorful bromeliad

...Some very white cyclamen

 A very pink orchid......

and nothing says tropical like a
Hibiscus
....unless of course it's actually an Amaryllis BOL

We hope you enjoyed our little trip to the tropical Atrium of the Botanical Gardens. Mama is always surprised at their foliage and beautiful flowers.

The weather sure has been topsy turvy in the world today. Are things in your corner of Blogville warming up yet???

Whether it is warm or cold where you are, we hope you all get to see some nature this weekend!!!

Show us your nature! It can be flowers, your current weather, a scene out of your window, or maybe a picture from a vacation, walk or other journey! Any kind of nature picture will do! If you don't see a link below, click HERE  to go to our Hoppity Page.

What glorious blooms to brighten up NF!!! Much needed the side, where it continues to just various (possibly 87) shades of grey... hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  4. Maybe the 6 of us pups should take a road trip to the mountains to play in the snow for a week? Nelson says he would drive and take care of all us girls. Enjoy your taste of winter while we last and the flowers are pretty but we too want more winter still.

  6. the ivy wall and that stunning burgundy red hibiscus are my favorites. I just yesterday looked up how much it cost to go to Ringling Museum, Jungle Gardens, Selby Gardens, all 10 to 12 miles from us. they have all that ivy wall things and tons of exotic plants. last time I went they were all 12 dollars each... now they are all 25.00 each. oy vey

  8. Your mom sure found some beautiful flowers, but nothing compares to you two wearing your flower crowns. We finally got some snow and hope it stays around for a few days.

  9. Java Bean: "Dada says those pictures remind him of the botanical garden in Balboa Park, which has been closed for remodeling for a while. I'm not sure if it's open now. They haven't been to Balboa Park for a while."
Lulu: "No snow here, of course, but we can see it on the mountains in the distance! Maybe someday Mama and Dada will take me to see it ..."
