Early Greens in the Backyard

Welcome to Nature Friday, where we get to meet new friends and share a picture or two of what nature looks like around Blogville. This week, we took a walk around our backyard and were thrilled to see all the green starting to peek through!

The Choke Cherry tree is starting to bloom...

The red leaves of the maple tree are sprouting and reaching toward the sun....

The lilac bush is ready for Spring to get here...

Mama hopes it slows down just a little, so these pretty flower buds keep sprouting!!

We have some early blooms too!

The forsythia is slowly starting to bloom...

The star of the backyard right now though, are the Crocus flowers!

They are sprouting through the rocks and reaching for the sky!

Their blooms always let us know that Spring is really on its way!!

Only one more week until Spring is officially here. Have you seen any signs of it yet??

No matter what your weather is, we hope you all get out and see some nature this weekend!

Show us your nature! It can be flowers, your current weather, a scene out of your window, or maybe a picture from a vacation, walk or other journey! Any kind of nature picture will do! If you don't see a link below, click HERE  to go to our Hoppity Page.

When I opened Grey's door this morning (after a night of what I thought was rain) I found the hilltops all white with snow again!!! So spring is holding back just a tad, but perhaps by next week........ hugs and wags YAM-aunty xxx

  4. Our weather is up and down except for the mud. Mud is something we have more than enough of and with big rain storms moving in later today, it will only get worse. We can't even go out in the yard anymore until it dries out.
