Rosy's Sibling Thankfuls

 

 As my birthday gets closer, I am reflecting how thankful I am to have had such great siblings.

 

 

  

My first 4 years in my furrever home I was lucky to have the 2 bestest big brothers all to myself.

 

 

 

 Jakey taught me all about sibling snuggling and pawrent snuggling. He was such a patient and loving boy and I miss him every day.

 

 

Arty was my best friend and travel buddy. He taught me all about keeping my independence and how to not be scared on road trips. 

 

I don't think that boy was scared of anything!

 

 

 After being the little sister to a couple of boys, I have to say it's nice to be the big sister to another girl dog. There something to be said about having someone else to dress up in pink and watch the sun come up with.

All and all I am so very thankful to have so many good memories of times spent with such wonderful and unique siblings!

Colorful Wildlife Wednesday

 

 The beautiful Western Tanager visit us mostly in the Spring, although we've had a few sticking around through the Summer. These TC videos were recorded during "dating season" when the boy tanagers are the most colorful!

Tasty Tuesday Surprise

   

Chef Sunny here today to show you the surprise I am making for Rosy. We haven't had birthday cake in a long time so I decided this year, as my present to Rosy, I would make her a cake! I found a cool cake mix and cake pan over at Chewy.com and asked Mama for the use of her opposable thumbs and we got to work!

  

We put mixed the ingredients together(the cake  mix, oil, water and an egg) and Mama mixed it up with the mixer....

I may have given the mixer a bark or 2 for being so loud.

 

 

Mama offered me a taste, of course

 

Mama used her thumbs and fingers to pour the batter into the silicone pan and popped it into the oven for 20 minutes.

 

While it baked, I took my morning nap.

 

  

After 20 minutes, Mama took it out of the oven and let it sit on the counter to cool for a little bit in the pan

  

Then Mama took it out of the pan to cool completely 

 

After it was cooled, Mama made the frosting and 

TADA!!

 

 

 Rosy's Birthday Cake!!

Mama will be cutting it up and freezing pieces for us to have while we're glamping this 

weekend!

 

 

Oh, what happened to me???

 I slept and slept....

Mixing up cake batter is hard work!!

It's My Birthday Week!!

 

Only five more sleeps until I turn SEVEN! My birthday is exciting, but even MORE exciting is I'll be spending my birthday in the mountains of COLORADO.

It doesn't get much better than having a Campside Birthday Pawty, right??

I sure hope the week goes by fast!

Nature Friday at the ABQ Aquarium

 

  Welcome to Nature Friday, where we get to meet new friends and maybe share a picture or two of what nature looks like around Blogville. This week on Nature Friday we are wrapping up Shark Week with a some video Mama took on a recent visit to the ABQ Aquarium. My favorite part of the video are the sharks!!

 

 

 It's nice to swim with the sharks....

 

  

....without actually having to get wet!

I suppose it is pretty cool to be a shark, but....

Thankful for Underwater Adventures

 

 

 Today we are thankful for all the time Mama and Daddy have spent underwater. It's nice being able to see so much underwater life without putting one paw in the water!

Mama went through some of the movie footage she has taken over the years and put together an underwater movie to help celebrate Shark Week!

(Madison, Bailie, Olivia and Nelson, tell your Mama not to watch it. Eels make a few appearances)

 This is the only shark the pawrents have seen up close....it is a  Nurse Shark and doesn't have big sharp teeth like other sharks.

 

 

Wait a darn minute, Mama and  Daddy have been UNDER THE WATER with SHARKS???! 

Nobody tells me anything!

Fountain Sharks?

 

Ok, so I might me the closest thing to a fountain shark we have.
