Welcome to Backyard Wildlife Wednesday, that day of the week we let Mama share some footage TC(our Trail Camera) has taken in our backyard. Today we are going to take a closer look at Benjy and Frankie, the two little field mice that hang out by the bird feeders.
Mama named them Benjy and Frankie after the two little mice in the Douglas Adams' book Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. In the book, the mice disguised themselves as the pets of one of the heroine's when, in reality, they were two of the most intelligent beings on Earth!

ReplyDeleteFrankie and Benji are cute little field mice and look pretty well fed. We don't think they would last long here, not because of us, but those pesky squirrels would chase them away.

ReplyDeleteAwww, Mommy likes mice, just not in the house. They are pretty smart to have not gotten eaten by the neighbor cats. They sure do have big ears...what kind of mice are they?
