Thankful Thursday - Morning Routine

Today, on Thankful Thursday, I(Sunny) want to say how thankful I am for a morning routine. There is something about a routine that helps keep me quieter and happier. Mama says she gets it, because it helps her too! Anyways...here is a peek at our morning routine!

We get up most mornings at around 6AM. Rosy and Mama  make their way into the living room to wake me up to start the day! First things first, Mama takes us out for a nice walkie in the backyard to go potty (not to mention to chase away any bunnies!).

After our morning walks, it's medicine time. Rosy isn't taking any meds right now, but she gets a little piece of pill pocket(so if she does need meds, it's easier for sneaky Mama to slip a pill in)

I look forward to my pills!
Before medicine time, Mama makes her coffee and steams her milk(Mama is spoiled and has a latte machine).

Mama says we are even MORE spoiled because, after medicine time, we get puppachino lickies.

Mama shares her steamed milk with us almost every morning!

After puppachino lickies, Mama puts down my breakfast.
We didn't start getting breakfast until about a year ago when our doctor thought it would be better for us(well me) to eat twice a day.
Thanks Doc!!

While I get my breakfast, Rosy gets her puppachino lickies. I think it might be Rosy's most favorite part of the day too!!

Then Rosy gets her breakfast!

...and that's our morning routine. We are also thankful that, even when we are camping, Mama can stick to the same routine so it keeps me a happy and healthy(and keeps the pawrents sane)!!

Do you have a morning routine??

I do, Sunny... When I wake up, first is morning prayer, then a glass of water, then the tea run starts and reading all my pals' blogs! Only once that's done do I get on with the rest of the day. Hugs and wags YAM-aunty xxx

  4. yes, we have a morning routine and in fact our whole day has routines. Beau eats at 3 and 3, dry dog food, and has 2 pills a day at 5 and 5 and Mama eats 5 times a day so does beau, since he gets a treat when humans eat. mama eats 6, 10,12, 3 and 5.. 10 and 3 are fruit smoothies with soy milk... all 3 of us follow routines

  5. Oh yes, we have our morning routine too. Up by 5, Mom works at her computer until about 6, then we walk for an hour, breakfast, pile into the office and work all day. We like it as it works well for us.

  6. Our morning routine starts with breakfast for us, then we go outside to do our business, and then the parents eat their breakfast (where we get some samples of it). We always come first. BOL!

  7. PLease give Mama a high five for getting Rosy accustomed to the pill pocket in case she ever needs to take a pill. Crazypants Madi would chew the pill pocket then spit out the pill. She was one smart cookie. I finally had to get her necessary pills compounded so that I could sprinkle on her food. My vet sent an rx to RoadRunner in N. Mexico I think.

Anyway I too love my routine...up at 6am, start my coffee, take my pills (w/o a pill pocket so far)
Toast our bagels. I'm so happy mama has a special machine for her morning beverages and that you get puppachino lickies. I recall how Arty and Dory would get puppachino lickies.

  10. Yep, routines are impawtant. We all get fed breakfast at 6 and supper at 4. We start reminding Mom up to an hour early (sometimes more). Lucy, especially, makes sure Mom never ever forgets. We are glad you have your routines too, even when you're travelling. And you look adorable, Sunny! XOXOXOX Chia
So do you, even double adorable, Rosy! XOX Xena

  11. Yep, up by 6:00, out to potty, eat, out again, in to see what Mom is up to, out again, then time for a power nap until Dad is up, then camping out near his chair and hoping he drops some crumbs for us under the table:). That is a great tip about the pill pockets - thanks.

  12. That's a great routine! I have one, it starts at 4am and I'm usually at work by 6am and that's why I can hardly wait to retire.

  13. Lulu: "We have a routine here, too, but it's really the cats who enforce it. If Dada stays in bed too much past his usual wake-up time of 5:30am, one or the other of them starts meowing for food, and that gets him out of bed pretty fast so that they don't want up Mama."
Java Bean: "Ayyy, see? Cats do have their uses!"
