Before Rosy explains our "Fencing" friends, I wanted to say how thankful I am for all of you. Thanks so much for making me feel so special during my birthday week and on my birthday. I am such a lucky gal!
Now, over to you Rosy!
Thanks Sunny, isn't Blogville great!
As you might have noticed, we have a pretty big backyard, what you may not know is we have neighbor doggy friends on all sides! This can make for a fun day of Doggy Friend Fencing!
If you have never experienced Doggy Fencing, turn up the sound, watch and listen to the video Mama made!
(Mama said your Humans may NOT want to turn up the sounds unless they have headache medicine around)
Isn't Doggy Fencing GREAT?!!!
Too bad our pawrents aren't as fond of it as we are...
Last week, Mama went for a walk without me to a local Nature Park.
The Rio Grande Nature Center State Park is located by the Rio Grande River...and did I mention I was NOT invited....For some reason perfect little dogs, like me, aren't allowed in this park.
Mama saw turtles...
Some dried tree fungus...
Some ducks...
This is Mama's most favorite
duck, a Wood Duck, and one she had never seen in the wild before!
She saw some other pretty birdies
(without ME) too!
Little finches....
A Canadian Goose in flight
....and even a Sandhill Crane
falling out of the sky
coming in for a landing!
This sure looks like a pretty park and it sure looked safe for pretty little dogs like....
What's that Mama?
You made a movie showing why it may not be as safe as I think?
We hope you all have weekends filled with safe Nature Walks

Hi friends, a couple of weeks ago, Arty and I went to the Carmel area for the weekend in CeCe. Today, as a special honor to Arty, I thought you might like to tag along on a sunset walkie to Arty's Ocean!
Our RV Park was within walking distance to the beach. We walked past lots of boats.
Mama says this is a Marina. It is where people and fishermen keep their boats.
After we passed the boats, we crossed the street, we walked a bit further....
...and found this pretty trail we followed to
Arty's ocean!
The skies were so very pretty...
Our RV park is very close to those tall smoke stacks in the background!
We got to the ocean, and sat down to watch the ocean...and after a few minutes Arty, the great whale spotter, saw a WHALE!!!
Do you see it Rosy?!
Mama made a video of our fun beach walkie.
Warning to Lee and Phod's Mama: This movie contains whale sightings
Thanks to all our friends for the comforting words during this difficult time. We will be back to regular blogging next week.

Before Mama left for Michigan, I made sure she took me to see what was blooming in Sequioa Gardens. I knew this time of year it would be chock full of flowers!
It didn't disappoint, look at all of the colors!!
If you look over there....
You'll see we have a second crop of Columbines this year!
Mama and I share a love of these beautiful flowers...
We hope someday to take CeCe to Colorado and see them in the wild.
The Columbines are only the tip of the flower-burg!
Just look a what else we found!
A late blooming Calla lily
A big orange-red poppy!
and let's not forget the Fairy Hats....
I had forgot all about this fairy hat. I sure was a cute little pup. This is why Mama will always call these flowers fairy hats.
Enough memories Mama, let's move along...
A pretty yellow daylily
and a lovely red daylily for Aunty C!
The fuschias always catch our eyes. There is something about the deep pinks and purples that is just so very pretty!
and guess what is starting to bloom??
The DAHLIAS!!
Here is a short video of a few of the dahlias we saw!!
Sequoia Gardens and its plethora of flowers always puts a smile on my face!!
Have a very smiley weekend everybuddy!!!
