Welcome to Nature Friday where we get to meet new friends and share a picture or two of what nature looks like around Blogville.
Mama is getting out and about a little more and earlier this week she took a little stroll around the ABQ Botanical Garden looking for some Spring color. She wasn't dissappointed, as there was color around every turn. Starting with these pretty Iris's
She visited the Cactus garden and found this pretty Blue Plumbago
She also visited the Mediterranean garden and saw the bright red bromeliad....
...and some pretty white orchids too!
Oh, she saw some outside color too!
The bottle brush bush was blooming
The lenten roses were everywhere....
and Spring's favorite ambassador, the crocus, were sprouting.
We hope you enjoyed the colors Spring is bringing to our corner of Blogville.
Here's to a fun weekend filled with Nature for all our friends!

best life:
Mama says they better enjoy it while they can cause Rosy chased away saw Fatty the Squirrel the other day......
March has come in like a lamb in our corner of Blogville.
Of course, this has turned our pawrents fancy to....
Can you guess??

Do you know what happens when our Mama has too much time on her hands?? She dresses me like a clown...
...and builds a Birdy Circus in my backyard! There are swings and whirlygigs and all kind of foodies places for the birds to play and eat. Here I am doing quality control to make sure things are all bird friendly and ready for play. Luckily, Sunny and I don't like the way birdy food tastes but we do like to smell all the birdy (and bunny) smells back here!
Here is our first look at the birds playing, well mostly eating, in their circus area:
Mama is hoping to keep the circus going through the Spring...unless Mr. Fatty the Squirrel shows up!
Thanks for stopping by our Birdy Circus,
and we hope all our friends get out to see some nature this weekend!

The weather has really warmed up here in New Mexico. The days are filled with bright sunshine and warming up well into the 70s(21C). Mama decided that since the temperatures are staying above freezing, even at night, that it was time to open the fountain!!
Needless to say, the birdies are VERY thankful to be able to splash around again!
Thank you to Maxwell and Angel Brian for hosting the
When I have had a stressful day, I like to unwind in my Princess tiara with my favorite stuffies. Mama likes to unwind by watching the birdy videos TC and SF have captured. Today, on Backyard Wildlife Wednesday, Mama has put together some relaxing birdy TV for you all to enjoy:
How do you like to unwind after a busy or stressful day???
Welcome to Nature Friday where we get to meet new friends and share a picture or two of what nature looks like around Blogville. This week we are going to share some fun pictures and video of our resident Northern Flicker.
He is a big fan of the suet Mama puts in the backyard.
He has no problem breaking off pieces with his long sharp beak, does he??
He doesn't visit Birdy Theater often, so when he does, Mama loves to show him off. This video shows a bit of his personality as he interacts with a flock of Starlings and Red Wing Blackbirds (who can be very annoying!).
He sure is a pretty bird, we always look forward to seeing him around the backyard!
Thanks for joining us for a little Friday Flicker fun today!
We hope everyone has a chance to view some nature this weekend!!
