Family Time
by Sunny

Big smiles all around
New smells to smell together
Long walks as a big pack
Extra snuggles on CeCe's couch
Relaxing and watching the world go by
Feeling all the Love

This is what family time means to me.

Thankful Thursday

Today, we are thankful for road snacks!
Every CeCe trip, we stop every couple of hours to stretch our legs and, if we're lucky, we get a snack!

This trip, we were VERY lucky and got a little piece of ham each along with our regular little cookie.
YUM!

Just another reason CeCe trips are so much fun!
Do you ever get special snacks???

Thank you Angel Brian for hosting the

Happy Times Tuesday

What Happy Times we had on our adventures in Alamogordo, NM. There were White Sands, big pistachios and so much more.

We are happy to be home and sleeping in our own beds, but it was nice to be back out and about in CeCe!

We are organizing Mama's pictures and will be telling you all about our adventure soon!

National Botanical Garden

Howdy effuryone! Welcome to Nature Friday, where we can meet some new friends and maybe share a picture or two of what nature looks like around Blogville. This week, we are headed back to Washington DC to take a look at the National Botanical Gardens.

Mama was a bit disappointed in the National Botanical Garden, and thought our local Gardens actually had a better selection of blooming plants. She did find a few flowers she liked though!

Mama has missed the Camillas she had in California...

She was happy to see a nice selection of them in full bloom!

The had some pretty tropical flowers in their Atrium also.

Some pretty orchids....

...and this pretty bushy flower called a
Brownia although it is anything but brown!

Finally, here is an Asian banana tree!!

We hope you enjoyed our little visit to the National Botanical Gardens. Mama is sure they have a nicer selection of blooms in the late Spring and Summer, when the weather gets nicer!

We hope you get out and see some blooms this weekend!

We are enjoying the nature of Southern New Mexico today, and will be back to regular commenting on Tuesday.

Thankful Thursday

This week we have so much to be thankful for, and we thank Angel Brian for giving us Thursdays to reflect on them all!

First of all, I Rosy, had my teeth cleaned yesterday and, other than one little cavity I'll have fixed in a couple of weeks, everything went peachy keen!!

Next, Spring has sprung and everything is budding!

The pretty baby lilacs are growing up and should be in full bloom soon!

The choke cherry bush is busy blooming away already!!

Of course, the biggest thankful we have this week is our first trip in CeCe!!

We leave tomorrow morning for points south and can't wait to tell you all about our adventures when we get back!

Monumental Travel Tuesday

As we mentioned last week, the pawrents recently visited Washington DC. As you might have guessed,
Mama took a bunch of pictures. Today, we're going to look at some of the monuments they visited.

This is the "Symbol of America" part of the WWII Memorial. It symbolizes the Industrial
Strength of America during WWII.

After the WWII Memorial, the folks strolled to the Lincoln Memorial. They are doing lots of renovations to the outside of the memorial, so this is the best picture Mama has of the beautiful monument.

President Lincoln is doing fine though.

Daddy spent a lot of time near the Congress with his work.
Unfortunately, they let the politicians in there too. This is where they make all the crazy human laws and stuff.

Mama took this from the top of the stairs of the Lincoln Memorial. Usually there would be a "Reflecting Pool" where that little stream is, but they had it drained for maintenance. But you can see all the way to
Capitol Building.

Mama was a little obsessed with the entrance to Chinatown. Built in 1986, the Friendship Arch is a symbol of friendship between China and the United States....hmmmm, maybe it's time to remind both countries they are supposed to be friends.

Last, but not least, is the White House...where President Biden currently resides. He was even in town the week the pawrents were there as he gave his State of the Union Address while the folks were eating dinner at the Cheesecake Factory, it doesn't get much more American than that!
 BOL

Unfortunately, Mama didn't make it to all the famous monuments but we are happy you could join us for a little look around Washington DC!

Do you have a favorite Monument in Washington DC?
