Do you know what happens when our Mama has too much time on her hands?? She dresses me like a clown...
...and builds a Birdy Circus in my backyard! There are swings and whirlygigs and all kind of foodies places for the birds to play and eat. Here I am doing quality control to make sure things are all bird friendly and ready for play. Luckily, Sunny and I don't like the way birdy food tastes but we do like to smell all the birdy (and bunny) smells back here!
Here is our first look at the birds playing, well mostly eating, in their circus area:
Mama is hoping to keep the circus going through the Spring...unless Mr. Fatty the Squirrel shows up!
Thanks for stopping by our Birdy Circus,
and we hope all our friends get out to see some nature this weekend!
Show us your nature! It can be flowers, your current weather, a scene out of your window, or maybe a picture from a vacation, walk or other journey! Any kind of nature picture will do! If you don't see a link below, click HERE to go to our Hoppity Page.
The weather has really warmed up here in New Mexico. The days are filled with bright sunshine and warming up well into the 70s(21C). Mama decided that since the temperatures are staying above freezing, even at night, that it was time to open the fountain!!
Needless to say, the birdies are VERY thankful to be able to splash around again!
Thank you to Maxwell and Angel Brian for hosting the
When I have had a stressful day, I like to unwind in my Princess tiara with my favorite stuffies. Mama likes to unwind by watching the birdy videos TC and SF have captured. Today, on Backyard Wildlife Wednesday, Mama has put together some relaxing birdy TV for you all to enjoy:
How do you like to unwind after a busy or stressful day???
Welcome to Nature Friday where we get to meet new friends and share a picture or two of what nature looks like around Blogville. This week we are going to share some fun pictures and video of our resident Northern Flicker.
He is a big fan of the suet Mama puts in the backyard.
He has no problem breaking off pieces with his long sharp beak, does he??
He doesn't visit Birdy Theater often, so when he does, Mama loves to show him off. This video shows a bit of his personality as he interacts with a flock of Starlings and Red Wing Blackbirds (who can be very annoying!).
He sure is a pretty bird, we always look forward to seeing him around the backyard!
Thanks for joining us for a little Friday Flicker fun today!
We hope everyone has a chance to view some nature this weekend!!

Although Mama may not agree, today I am thankful that she has to stay off of her feet. It means unlimited snuggle time for me (and I suppose Rosy too)!
I'm going to enjoy it while I can because Mama goes back to the doctor in 2 weeks!
Thank you to Maxwell and Angel Brian for hosting the
Today, we are going to take a look at some of the house finches that visit our Smart Feeder. We think out of all the birds in the backyard right now, they look the most like little dinosaurs!
Welcome to Nature Friday where we get to meet new friends and share a picture or two of what nature looks like around Blogville. To celebrate the week of love, I thought I would gather some roses we have collected through the years and share them with you. Mama has collected roses from all over the US, but these are mostly from California and New Mexico.
"There is simply The Rose, it is perfect in every moment of its existence." ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
"When you stop to smell a Spring flower [or a Rosy flower] , it's as if the soul of that flower settles inside you! And then you become that flower for a short time..." ~Mehmet Murat ildan
"The rose is without an explanation; She blooms because She blooms!" ~Angelus Silesius
I especially like that last quote. I am good at doing things that should never require explanation, right Mama? BOL
We hope you enjoyed these Valentine's Day rosies, and hope everyone gets out to enjoy some nature this weekend!
