A Special Saturday Post
This is Eight!!!
A very Happy Birthday to our very special girl. It's hard to believe eight years have gone by since our Rosy Girl was born. We could go on and on about how wonderful she is, but we have a feeling you all have an idea just how much she is loved.
Instead, we think we'll get up early and take her for a very long walk to show her just how much she is loved (the longer the walk...the more she thinks she is loved BOL)!

Friday Nature Walk in Red River
Red River Nature Trail looked like the perfect place to take a little hike.
Remember when we told you about how there was skiing here in the Winter time? Well, they use these ski lift thingies to take skiers up the mountain in the Winter and, in the Summer, they take people for rides up the mountain. How cool is that?
The Red River (that isn't really red) ran next to the trail.
We saw a lots of pretty little flowers hidden in the grass as we hiked.

Mama thinks these are some kind of blue bells...I don't know, they look kind of purple to me.
It was nice hearing the river rushing by as we hiked.
After a mile or so, the trail started getting a little treacherous for the pawrents. They must have gotten a bunch of rain, because a lot of the tree roots were exposed....
....and a lot of the trail was washed out. I could have kept going, but the pawrents made the "executive decision" to turn around. Something about them falling or some such nonsense.
Mama even saw a little Rosy Rose for me!
All in all it was a wonderful hike, even if it did end sooner than I liked.
I sure hope you get out for a little hike this weekend!!

Rosy's Eight Thankfuls
Only 2 more sleeps until my 8th Birthday and I've been thinking of all the things I have to be thankful for over those 8 years....
Here are my top 8 thankfuls through the past 8 years
1. I am thankful for the Angel Arty's gal Mabel, who's Mom helped me find my furr-ever home by telling my pawrents about a very cute dark Lhasa that was available in Utah.
2. My Pawrents. They take care of me plus they are very comfy to snuggle with in the big bed at night
3. Greenies....really, do I need to say anything more?
4. I am thankful to have had the two bestest brothers a girl could have had. Angels Arty and Jakey were always up for a good game of bitey face or zoomies. I miss them every day.
5. My daily walkies. Rain or shine, either Mama or Daddy (or both) take me out to explore our neighborhood every day, even if it is just for 15 minutes.
6. Sunny, she has turned in to a pretty good little sister. We play together, chase bunnies together and now, we even lay on the couch to snuggle with the pawrents together!
7. Adventures. I am so thankful we have ArCe(and CeCe before her) and to be able to travel all around our state and the USA!
8. YOU! I am so thankful for each and every one of our Blogville and CatBlogosphere friends and appreciate your visits and the things I learn from visiting you!!

My Birthday Present to Rosy
Today, I had Mama make a special video just for Rosy! I thought it would be fun for her to have a movie of all favorite things to chase animals so she can bark at it watch it whenever she is stuck in the house.

Eight years of Travel
One of my (and Mama's) favorite things to do during my birthday week, is to look back at all the memories we've made over the years. Some of those best memories have been made during our many travels!!
I got used to traveling a a VERY early age. Here I am relaxing on my very first long car ride from Utah to my new home in Northy North California!
My next long car ride was along the California coast to visit friends in Monterey and, my favorite little California town, Carmel.
I was also lucky enough to do a long Mama and Me trip to Blog Paws in Kansas City. Even though I was pretty young, I still remember the beautiful sights and fun new friends I met.
Then there was the Mini BAR in Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah. Angels Jakey & Arty and I met up with Mabel, Murphy and Stanley (along with Styx and Tigris's humans).
Angel Arty and I went on a LONG road trip with the pawrents in CeCe through California....
We visited Joshua Tree National Park....
....and even got to do some shopping on Palm Springs!
Of course, Sunny and I have been on LOTS of trips in CeCe and, more recently, in ArCe! From local trips to Angel Fire, New Mexico....
Trips to the Rocky Mountains in Colorado....
Here I am in Monument Valley (in Arizona)
...and I have even been to the Squirrel Grand Canyon!
I am so very blessed I am to have been so many places, and to have made so many happy memories. I love sharing them with you all and I can't wait to see where I get to go over the next eight years!!
