Bilbo Turns Ten and Becomes a Real Doggie

 

 Happy Belated Birthday to the Boney Man!! Although Mama thought he was ten last year, we made her look it up and he didn't turn 10 

until THIS year on May 17th!!! 

 

The funny thing is that during the last six months Bilbo has gone from cracker crazy dog, who didn't eat much and who Mama worried about ALL THE TIME into..... 

 

NORMAL DOGGIE!!!!!  Here is that picture of him snuggling with me and Jakey....A year ago, it would have to be a pretty chilly day for him to even get on the couch with Mama!!

Here is Mama to tell you more.....you can go lay down, I think the rest is pretty boring (and NOT ABOUT ME!)

It seems that ever since we started fostering that Bilbo has totally come out of his "Loner Shell". First and most importantly, he has gained 3 or 4 pounds and doesn't look emaciated any more! He is eating every night with Dory and Jakey (our fosters eat in a separate area) and is not shy about asking for his share of loving. 

Sounds like a normal puppy right?? We are so excited and happy about the change and whether it is the new dogs in the house or just that his elevator has fixed itself we hope that it sticks around for the duration!

Now Bilbo still hasn't stopped managing the household, and sometimes he still goes cracker dog when he doesn't get things he wants and he has a new trick of squishing himself through the rungs in the stairs to come upstairs when the dogs are "put to bed" (this is a BAD thing he learned from one of our fosters). Overall though, Bilbo has turned into a pretty stable pup!!
